Katie Couric’s role as global news anchor at Yahoo is under scrutiny by the Internet company’s honchos — including CEO Marissa Mayer — who are wondering why the peppy former talk-show host isn’t bringing in big-name interviews.
“Her bosses are unhappy,” says our source. “They thought Katie was a huge get and that huge stars would follow, with major interviews. Instead she’s had two that are memorable, and one was a book tour.”
In Couric’s debut interview for the site, she did a 52-minute sit-down with former Defense Secretary Robert Gates in January. He was promoting his book, “Duty: Memoirs of a Secretary at War,” about his roles in the Bush and Obama administrations.
In March, Couric interviewed former mayor Michael Bloomberg, discussing charter schools in his first major interview since leaving office last December.

It was announced last November that Couric took the job at Yahoo for $6 million a year.

If she really wants to impress the honchos at Yahoo, let her suggest the same thing she did a few years ago, to help America be more fond of Muslims, let Yahoo host a Muslim Comedy Show.
Given that Yahoo had to cut more than 30 employees to pay for Katie’s $6 million/year contract, it’s not surprising that people at Yahoo are unhappy.

The first way to know when you’re not watching real news is when you see politicians and bureaucrats on the show for an “interview” or any other personal appearance. All teevee news (ALL...Fox “News” included) cherish their access to these hacks and holding that access over the media assures nothing outside of accepted standards is ever pursued. The Sunday morning shows are some of the worst. This isn’t news...it’s processed news product.

The sad part of it is she IS cute and perky. But when she gives you that leftist “stare of death” you KNOW where she really stands.
