Man asks court to provide Arab clothing during Tampa trial
Tribune ^ | May 24, 2014 | Elaine Silvestrini

Sami Osmakac is asking taxpayers to provide him traditional Arab clothing for him to wear when he goes on trial next week on charges he plotted a terrorist attack in Tampa.

Osmakac's lawyer told a federal magistrate this morning that Osmakac's family doesn't want to pay to clothe him in a robe garment called a thobe and a head wrap known as a keffiyeh...

The judge has previously given Osmakac permission not to stand when the judge or jury enters the courtroom because of his religious beliefs. Potential jurors will be asked whether they can still be fair to him, given that belief.

...

Osmakac plotted to blow up a popular Tampa night spot and then take hostages and demand the release of Islamic prisoners

.
Judging by how we like to kiss Muslim @$$, judge and jury will probably have to stand any time when Osmakac opens his mouth and they will all adjourn for prayer time.

When I read this headline, I thought maybe he wanted the judge, jurors, attorneys, and everyone else in the courtroom dressed in bed sheets. I guess we’re still a few years away from that eventual reality.

Amazing how these black burqa clad dhimmis waving a toy hammer love falling for the multi-culti BS from Islamics, who love turning trials into circuses, that would get any of us 18 months for contempt.

If he or his family can't or won't provide the costume, there's no reason to ding the taxpayers for one. Let his liar lawyer fork over, if he thinks it will help his client.

Has his attorney advised him that that is probably not going to help him? That’s probably how his family feels about it.

I can’t imagine these clothes are particularly expensive in any way. Can they really cost more than a man’s suit, which is what he’d wear otherwise?

If that what he wants to wear, in front of the jury, to look like some super-Muslim, I say, sure, why not?

Thereby approving of his contempt of the court. This judge should be removed from the bench.

If the accused chooses not to follow the dictates of the US Court system, why should we?

It could be the Judge simply does not want to give the defense ANY reason to ask for a mistrial...

In a way I think it will not play very well with a jury...

The Muslim community in Tampa actually helped to get this guy...

Dress like a terrorist, Ahab. That’s sure to impress the jury and help your case!
