As an ex professional tattoo artist, I feel compelled to inform others who are concerned about health related issues associated with tattoos that the majority of those issues are also related to haircuts. Barber shops and beauty salons are regulated by similar laws due to health risks such as Hepatitis and staph that are associated with each.

As far as the “social” issues that people discuss in regards to tattoos as statements of their personal preferences... Well, those are nothing more than opinion. I believe there’s a common saying about opinions.

You want to be a nonconformist these days: Don’t get a tattoo. Don’t get piercings. Don’t destroy your ear lobes. Don’t wear your trousers half way down your ass. Focus on getting grades, doing your homework, being polite and respectful. Go to church and get something out of it. You will be the real non-conformist among your peers. And probably among the most successful.

You forgot the sarcasm tag.

Ya, I wanted to put my old cap badge on my arm, but I didn’t do it.

I know about the hush hush, I was one of four that had to go do some secret squirrel for NATO.

That was not in uniform obviously heh.

Ahh, some days I miss it, some days I don’t lol.

When I first joined the Navy an old Chief advised me, if I insisted on getting a tattoo, get one that reads "Mother." I didn't get one at all.

The removal problem reminds me of that old Country song, about a guy who has a tattoo of his former girlfriend, "What am I gonna do with your tattoo?"

This is my own syllogism and I stand by it.

Not everyone that has a tatoo is evil, but all evil people have tattoos.

It is not copyrighted, use it at will.

Tattoo’s are completely NASTY, ESPECIALLY on women.
They do serve a purpose though, they save time when trying to figure out if a woman has psych problems or not...
