Top members of Congress were briefed more than two years ago about the possibility of exchanging an American soldier held captive by the Taliban for five terror suspects at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, senior Democrats and Republicans said Tuesday.
In a statement, House Speaker John Boehner said lawmakers raised serious concerns that were never satisfactorily answered about the potential swap involving Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl and received assurances from the Obama administration that if a deal were more likely, Congress would be contacted.

I think the entire world is a witness to this.
It’s like a comedy of errors. The Rats try to set up these puff pieces to prove some quality like, in this case, Obama’s caring attitude for servicemen. The whole thing backfires because the guy they picked as their shining hero is a traitor. This is nothing new. From Clinton’s destruction of trees for a Grand Canyon photo-op to the string of “disabled” paid frauds trotted out on stage to the phony “vets” they used to “prove” US atrocities in Vietnam. These clowns always screw up their photo-ops. This is because they are lazy and incompetent and never do their homework.
Unfortunately the people they are playing to are morons who can’t tell truth from fiction. ‘Course, if the morons could tell the difference they wouldn’t be Rats.
They can tell, but they want to work to make lies seem like truth.

Basically, Obama did not consult with Congress because Congress would have said “no” and our child-in-chief cannot be denied anything he wants!

One an original founder of the Taliban. One its head intelligence officer. The others with similar credentials. Aid and comfort like that is hard to beat. Maybe a couple of suitcase nukes could top it.
When I think about how utterly insane this is, I mean really think about it, I cannot believe how far we have fallen as a nation. It hurts my brain and my heart!
I’m right there with you. If Tom Clancy had written this as a novel 15 or 20 years ago his publisher would have recommended he see a psychiatrist.
