In Hailey, Idaho, the hometown of freed U.S. soldier Bowe Bergdahl, the joy at his release has turned for some into shock and fear — the fear of picking up the phone.
That's because some town officials have been deluged with angry calls from people who think that Bergdahl is an Army deserter or traitor who doesn't deserve a hero's welcome.

I'd just observe that the hate in this case seems to be well-deserved.
“Stop the Hate” is what we did when we incarcerated the Taliban Dream Team in Guantanamo. Obama has unleashed a whole lot of hate on the world.

Bergdahl got 6 soldiers killed looking for him.
Bergdahl betrayed out his outfit.
Bergdahl hates Americans.
Bergdahl loves the Taliban.
Hailey’s an adjunct of Sun Valley where the *really* rich east coast liberal folks have second homes. Only the near-rich like Hollywood celebrities have homes in Hailey. Don’t let the “small town Idaho” stuff fool you: it’s elitist-occupied territory.
Life can be tough when you try to celebrate a deserter.

This county is not culturally part of the patriotic, all American state of Idaho, it’s exactly the sort of freak show one would expect to see producing a traitor.
