‘Wow!’ And so it begins: White House smears vets, claims ‘swift boating’ of Bergdahl

Unreal. Putting the lives of our brave troops at risk by releasing five Taliban leaders wasn’t enough, apparently. Now the White House has to smear those who put their lives on the line for this country.

What do we expect? To “Swiftboat” is “to expose the truth by those who observed, or were involved in, the subject situation”. To decent people, it’s a good thing. Obviously, to evil-doers, it’s very, very bad.

Obama and minions are despicable in every way. The V.A. issue is a disgrace. As Montel Williams said, if one of the terrorists at Gitmo has a sniffle they’re treated within an hour. Our own wonderful heroes are left for months and years to die without any treatment.

“Numbnuts!”

LOL I haven’t heard anyone use that word in 40 years. I thought that I was the only one who still used it! Thank you for the laugh!

The medical condition that precluded Obama from notifying congress will turn out to be PTSD. He will not be prosecuted. Bergdahl is hero to the far left precisely because he penned anti-American scribblings. He is their hero precisely because he wandered away from his unit.

No matter how you slice it up, a 5 for 1 trade seems senseless.

This administration is rapidly falling apart at the seams. They have been done in by their own hubris. Couldn't have happened to a more deserving bunch.

You are the recipient of today's "Nail on the Head" Award.

The Simple Minded Obama Calculation:

The Libs will love the release of prisoners from Guantanamo Bay.
The Right will love the release of an American "War Hero".

A guaranteed Win-Win for sure. And, as a bonus, less time on Fox News for discussions about the VA Mess and Benghazi. A triple win.

“waiting for the day the Obama Admin defects to the Taliban”

In the event that you have not been paying attention since 2008, Obemba WAS/IS a member of the Taliban!

“I will stand with the Muslims” - Obemba quote from his ‘manifesto’.

Bergdahl’s father gave a clear statement at the time of this traitor’s desertion, including that his son indicated an intent to leave his unit. Bergdahl was not “captured” according to that account, and I’m amused that Obama would try to pretend that Bergdahl’s father is swift boating his own son.

“taped wires from portable telephones to human genitals and turned up the power,”

How does one ‘turn up the power’ on a portable telephone? A remote telephone or a cell phone?

The voltages on either device would be minimal as well as the current flow. I do not know this for a fact but it seems implausible to me that either would cause pain or even feel the current flow.

A land-line telephone, on the other hand, has the capability to ‘shock’ and cause pain when it is ringing.

Yeah their true colors are showing now more than ever, as they hit the political panic buttons.

Keep after these bastards

I was wondering how long claims of “swiftboating” would take. I guess that’s code for “telling the truth?”

Today in WSJ they say the admin HAD to exchange Bergdahl because a VIDEO showed his health was deteriorating. Hmmm.

Same excuse as last time.

I really don’t know about the phone business, you’d have to ask the current Secretary of State who first said it.

http://washington.cbslocal.com/2014/06/04/report-white-house-aides-accusing-bergdahls-unit-comrades-of-swift-boating-him/

NBC News’ Chuck Todd reported Monday that the White House did not expect this sort of vitriolic backlash exchanging five high-level Taliban members held at Guantanamo Bay for Bergdahl, who left his Army post in 2009 in Afghanistan and was subsequently taken captive.

“They did not expect this backlash on Bergdahl himself,” Todd reported on NBC’s “Today.” I’ve had a few aides describe it to me as we didn’t know that they were going to ‘swift boat’ Bergdahl. And that’s a reference to that political fight back in 2004 over John Kerry’s military service.”

I don’t understand this post. Where is the article?

“But, hey. Smear. Smear like the wind. It’s the Chicago way.”

That’s it? Nice popup adds though.

I’m not special. It does not take muck to open a web browser to catch up for a few min. here and there.

i agree... i am a homeschooling mom who works in a law office... i stay up on things... but sadly, not everyone has the where-with-all... i think a lot of it has to do with interest... i remember back in 1972, i was 7-years old... i stayed up with my daddy watching the returns from the Nixon/McGovern Presidential election... even back then, i was fascinated... i knew it was important...

Well that’s the thing. If people WANT to be informed, they find the time/a way.

I really don’t think that guys that spend half of sunday glued to a football game have a reason to claim ignorance. They find time for that. they find time to stop off for a beer after work. they find time for a round of golf once in a while. 10 min here and there isn’t much but one can learn far more in that time than someone that refuses to look.
