The story does not mention anywhere that they are black. Perhaps you are jumping to conclusions?
The cops are just wary of a standup fight. Now if they could have tossed a flash-bang grenade at a baby, it would have been so on.

What about in places where concealed carry is ok?
Good idea, though. Treat them like soccer hooligans. The reason soccer hooligans got away with it for so long is because they had the numbers.
No deterrence, no incapacitation, arguably permissive — overall I’d say that’s the local government declaring that it cannot and/or will not enforce the law.
The net end result will be an escalating spiral of violence, potentially sparking wide-scale civil unrest. In other words this is a good recipe for race riots in Chicago. That’s a good policy to create another Kris Kime type of murder, police just watching as thugs run wild.

When the race is not mentioned, almost a sure bet. I believe a story about a crowd of white thugs would prominently mention race.
The word “teens” without pictures is suspicious, like the word “youths” to describe rioters in France. It’s hard to solve a problem when the powers that be are busy hiding from it.
When the media leaves us guessing the party affiliation of a crooked politician, it’s a Democrat. What on earth could “teens” mean? The recent wildings at Fort Lauderdale was attributed to “teens,” while concealing the fact that they were black teens. Even the videos were purposely deceptive.
CC or not, if there is a large group like that, I would rather leave the area. Yes, I can protect myself should it be necessary, but would prefer to avoid it unless I have to be there.
Some folks would consider that allowing these feral animals to tie up large numbers of urban police ALREADY to be trouble.
I can see your point, but the crime rate amongs the general population of folks is a lot lower than those they are following. Over all, I'd say their resources are being expended against the right people.
Do you really want to go through a Zimmerman trial, with a bunch of black jurors?
