NRCC Chairman Greg Walden (R-Ore.) said the national party was ready to help David Brat but have had trouble reaching him.
Multiple times Wednesday, House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) and Walden texted and called Brat to say congratulations and offer assistance, but Brat’s voicemail was full and by 6 p.m. Wednesday, they had not yet spoken.
Walden said the GOP only had Brat’s cell as a point of contact but expected to connect with him soon over phone and in Washington.

Brat is the gingerbread man and the GOP-E is the fox who asks him to jump on his back so he can take him across the river.
Dave has decided that he doesn’t want to be devoured, unlike the poor gingerbread man who didn’t have core Conservative values to fall back on.
Levin has him on speed dial. The GOP-E is looking in the phone book and can’t find his number there because there are just too many David Brats listed.
I wish Brat would be the one to go to DC and actually represent the people of his district, instead of being just another party shill.
Why is this a story? I wonder....
They need to “co-opt” him and give him an injection of Potomac Fever cells.
Bratt would do well to stay the hell away from the GOP “leaders”.
