“Our position since the beginning was that we do not care what other countries consider citizens, we only care who we consider citizens, natural or not.”

Perfectly stated.

you said: “ Ted Cruz was considered a citizen at birth “

No, Ted Cruz WAS, (not considered), a citizen at birth, being born to 2 citizen parents.

That does not MAKE him a NBC. He’s got HALF of it, but you have to be born in the good old USA also, to be eligible to the office.

It's very simple: Cuban citizenship law and Canadian citizenship law count for naught under American citizenship law. If a person is an American citizen at birth -- which Ted Cruz was -- other nation's citizenship laws simply aren't recognized by American citizenship law.

Ted Cruz was born in Canada, to a Cuban father, but his mother was American. He gains his American citizenship from her...at birth.

True, he also gained Cuban citizenship from his father and gained Canadian citizenship by virtue of having been born there. But his American citizenship is unaffected by these other claims.

Upon reaching his majority, Cruz could have opted for Canadian citizenship (or, presumably, Cuban citizenship) and renounced his American citizenship. But he did not.

Ergo, Ted Cruz was born an American citizen and remains one today.

really?

Once again, in order for your opinion to be considered factually a legal opinion you have to be able to back it up with either the Constitution, relevant US Law or relevant SCOTUS Ruling.

Once again, you have substituted your opinion for legality, and you have come up woefully short.

It’s a good thing for your theory that McCain lost in 2008.

Can you cite a statute?

Can YOU cite a statute to support your position?

Two or more can play your game.

I do.

Twice in the last month I nearly got run’d over by a deer, while I walking.

Sprinted right past me and if I had taken one more step I would be roadkill....

Your source is in error.
And the owner of FR has stated that he backs Cruz for President and that Cruz is eligible for the office.

Age of parents
Time in US of parents before birth
The Congress has the right and duty to define citizenship at birth and they have done so, many times.

Go to the US State Department Website. The rules for citizenship are there for you to study, if you apply for a passport.
