I think McCarthy will be terrible, personally, but who knows? Maybe he’ll rise to the challenge.

You have to be kidding? Rise to the challenge? McCarthy is a rabid, anti-Tea Party GOPe puke....

100% amnesty for ALL third world scum will be his #1 priority (after destroying the Tea Party)

“I had hopes we’d at least take the Senate.”

We will win 10-12 seats. Most will be GOPe. Only 2 will be tea party.

“Lame duck session comprehensive immigration amnesty”

Very interesting speculation but no because Obama is incompetent.

After GOPe smashes the dems in Nov., the dems will desperately want a deal BEFORE the new congress gets sworn in. The congressional dems will give up a lot to get a deal and the pubs will accept but Obama being the ignorant stupid negotiator will screw it up by not giving in and NO LAME DUCK SESSION DEAL WILL BE MADE.

I notice the rating is for the 2010 election. Some weasels have changed their immigration policies since then.

“A rino never will as we will never vote for them again.
Not hard to see the smart path here.”

You will see a mind boggling GOPe victory in Nov. with huge majorities in both houses of congress.

I know it will kill you, but that is what will happen.

Nope. I have faith many of my fellow Americans are stupid enough to do it, then complain about how they are governed when they clone the Democrat policies. you prove that.

“McCarthy and Scalise will govern for only 12 legislative days between when Cantor officially calls it quits on July 31 and November’s midterm elections.”

Unfortunately, our system still needs votes to win.
In the primaries, republicans vote.
(I am against open primaries where democrats can vote in republican primaries).

In picking the majority leader in the house, it is again those pesky voters (in this case ALL republican congress critters) who picked the winner. I don’t think Boehner & Romney & Cantor by themselves could have picked the winner. The Tea party candidate obviously did not get majority votes.

Soon we will have congressional elections.
Again, the pesky voters will pick winners.
GOPe lost in Virginia because of those doggone voters!

These voters are ubiquitous!

The American people need to go further than that.

Outside of on going criminal investigations and national security, everyone working for government in D.C. should have all their phone calls recorded. Private cell phones should prohibited during work hours, and or only use supplied phones which are all recorded and can be easily accessed quickly. You'd never get it from the NSA. They work for us right?

They've demonstrated how corrupt and criminal they are by suggesting the mammoth IRS agency which is in the data collection business, lost years of emails by someone who refused to answer questions and took the 5th?

Weeks later her bosses tell us the email data is all gone....missing, no data to be found? Data lost?

This is one of the biggest criminal conspiracy cover-ups in U.S. history.

Government is so out of control, has become so corrupt, many still have no clue to the level of this criminal corruption.

Yes, you are correct. Majority of elected republicans are not interested in very conservative agenda. The other party, the democrats are 99.9% against any conservative agenda.

What can be done? Does 3rd party have a chance? What was the last time a 3rd party won presidency? I arrived here in 1960, so not familiar with what happened before. In my time here 3rd party candidates have lost big.

I agree 100% with what you say in your post. However so long as Obummer and his henchman Holder are in power, I can guarantee 100% no one will be prosecuted who is protecting Obummer.

Unfortunately in our system of government power resides with the winners of elections. First you have to win elections, then fight for the agenda. It does not work the other way around.

Precisely....the GOP has FAILED to live up to it's promises and principles, they have lost the public. They have allowed the government Leviathan to roll on down the hill, eating up its citizens.

I agree, but the danger could come during the lame duck session when some outgoing GOPe’ers decide to throw a tantrum and ram it through as a parting gift to conservatives.

Leadership still wants amnesty but it is harder for them to get an easy 218 votes.

Rank and File House Republicans are scared because Cantor got defeated with his cash and being more conservative compared to other leaders. So you just need 200,000 like Dave Brat or Bridenstine had and you can target specific Republicans.

ALIPAC is not up to date on all candidates.

Patrick McHenry is an amnesty shill but they endorsed him. But McHenry is example of someone who may have got spooked by Cantor and Ellmers.

Joe Barton(TX) was clearly pro-amnesty all year. His primary opponent even hit him on the issue.

I am not so pessimistic.

Carter gave us Reagan.

Obummer will give us a republican president.

You think the conservatives in the house would release the votes. I can’t believe that they merely accept the word of Bohener as to what the final vote count was or even merely who won. If so he could name anyone himself as leader, period.

They must know these two. This is how the GOP house leadership responds when confronted with supporting Conservative issues. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OVe6ZKKi3qk
