Where I am it’s underground wires and no gas.

I was in a church class once when a quake hit. The instructor was chastising me as I went outside. I told him not to worry and I would watch for falling light poles, but I was not a lemming that was going to wait for the roof to potentially collapse because “some guy” told me to.

The gas and underground wires are in the same place, so if there is a rattling you may be at a higher risk of gas explosion possibly than people with wires above the ground.

Your situation could be worse depending on the situation.

Johnny Cash - “Ring Of Fire”
Written by Merle Kilgore, June Carter.

Love is a burning thing
And it makes a fiery ring
Bound by wild desire
I fell into a ring of fire

I fell into a burning ring of fire
I went down, down, down and the flames went higher
And it burns, burns, burns, the ring of fire
The ring of fire

I fell into a burning ring of fire
I went down, down, down and the flames went higher
And it burns, burns, burns, the ring of fire
The ring of fire

The taste of love is sweet
When hearts like ours meet
I fell for you like a child
Oh, but the fire went wild

I fell into a burning ring of fire
I went down, down, down and the flames went higher
And it burns, burns, burns, the ring of fire
The ring of fire

I fell into a burning ring of fire
I went down, down, down and the flames went higher
And it burns, burns, burns, the ring of fire
The ring of fire

And it burns, burns, burns, the ring of fire
The ring of fire
The ring of fire
The ring of fire

That the best.

IMO all electric would avoid explosions. Much better situation than most IMO.

Technically, there is gas around here. There are a few homes where they drilled down deep and actually supply gas for their home and a few neighbors.

But not my place.

Because science doesn’t really know that much about what is occurring under the earth’s surface, it is possible that there a connection between the two. However, it is just as possible that these are two independent events which just happen to occur close together in time. Science rightfully should study these events to determine if they are related or not but they need to make sure that they come to the investigation with no biases or preconceived notions. I don’t what to hear loose speculation of how this causes concerns about fracking or global warming unless there is really hard evidence driving those speculations.

Wouldn’t be the first time that I was the skunk at the picnic. I’ll wear the title of denier proudly and will be ultimately proven right more times than not. One of the principles of my profession is professional skepticism.
