“I propose a write campaign for the general election. The official democrat would probably win buy “what difference does it make?””

I agree!

We gotta do something and I don’t think staying home is the answer.

The following isn't from the SOS as they haven't published the final official numbers yet.
The linked info is for all counties at 100% except for Hinds which is at 99.2% reporting.

Hinds has

Cochran 17,927
McDaniel 6,962

and the total statewide

Cochran 190,633 + .09%
McDaniel 184,264

Overall Mississippi results

If you click on each county in the map it will give you that county results.

35 or 40 thousand democrats voting for Cochran, invited in by the Cochran campaign and the barbours and $175K of NATIONAL REPUBLICAN SENATORIAL COMMITTEE money spent on robo calls in heavily democrat neighborhoods. The same NRC that pledges to NOT interfere in primaries. PONRC

Just curious —

If about half of those who voted for McDaniel just didn’t vote for anybody in this race in November, then who would win???

...we need to consider the possibility of a challenge as an independent by McDaniel.

Can he do that? That would be great.

**************

That’s a good question. I’m not familiar with MS voting but a quick look at history
gives some info.

In 2012 there were about 1.2 million votes in the general with the GOP getting about 700,000.
The same approximation is also in the 2008 general with Cochran getting about 750,000.

Thus 1/2 of McDaniels primary votes probably may not change things. The question becomes
how all those that vote in the general but don’t vote in the primary would vote? We don’t
know that answer outside of what has happend in the past and with this runoff the feelings
of the voters may be entirely different.

Excellent speculation about the general to be considered.

That’s exactly what should happen. The Conservatives HAVE to get their point across.

Why vote for a cheating lying weasle who claims to be conservative but promotes continued deficit budgets, open borders, favors illegals over US citizens and panders to democrats in a Republican Primary.

If I lived there my response if asked would be, ‘given Thads record, actions and pandering to democrats my only choice is to cast a ballot for one of the two Democrats on the ballot in Nov.

Because Thad and his supporters lied, cheated and stole the primary I will vote for the Candidate that was atleast honest about being
A low life socialist crook.’

On the issues, they’re pretty conservative, but Medved was for Romney from the get-go in 2012, and ditto for McCain in 2008, and he denounced the Virginia voters for throwing out Eric Cancer. Hewitt was urging his Colorado listeners not to vote for Tancredo.

Nah, no point in voting for a dim. From either party.

We’ll be writing in our vote. Probably for McDaniel. No point in stooping so low as to actually vote for a dim.

Mississippi as I understand it has a sore loser law so they don’t shake out.

Yeah, those are positions I’m aware of them both having for awhile now. They’re essentially Open Borders people, Michael Medved, pretty aggressively so, I would say.

But I just stopped listening to pseudo intellectual crapheads like those guys awhile ago because, no matter what they think, I don’t need them to tell me what I’m supposed to think.

sore loser law

Run a write in campaign for MRS. McDANIEL! Widows of dead Rats and Rinos are always considered worthy candidates. This co-opts Chris's name recognition and campaign organization. Let the the two Rats fight over their piece of cheese. Let them stage a war on women. Give those who'll otherwise stay home in disgust a place to cast their vote. If she doesn't want the job long term she could always resign later and endorse Chris in a special election once Thad is gone.

Wait....so the State of Mississippi has a sore loser law that would prevent a candidate who narrowly loses a primary from gong third party in the general while simultaneously allowing sandbagging through open primaries? And people make fun of Florida......
