Lois Lerner took an ax
and gave her hard drive forty whacks,
and when she saw what she had done,
she gave six others forty one.

And yet some backups did exist,
so carefully she made a list.
So when she found them, she was not slow,
To give those too the old heave ho.

I bet that a lot of those computers, reportedly ‘disposed’, wound up in IRS employee homes. Plain old corruption and theft...................

“Absolute power corrupts absolutely…” I’ve never liked that adage.

God has absolute power and He is incorruptible.

However it is true that lesser beings that try to seize hold of power they are not entitled to tend to become more corrupted by their doing so.

Funny how the only computers hard drives that seem to have been destroyed are those that would have contained the e-mails linking the IRS sandal directly to the Obama White House. This was a coverup.

I’m bettin all those emails still exist somewhere and someone is going to drop a dime on them. An impossible task to keep a secret when lots of people are in the know. That’s what’s got the WhiteyHut worried.

I would hate to know I was facing Gowdy as a Prosecutor.

yes they should have already defunded Obamacare for example.

But impeachment is the right way to go. Let the senate live with their decision. History will judge.

I’ll take our chances with Biden for two years.

Lerner needs to be jailed now and Holder removed if he doesn’t prosecute her.

Wiggle all you want. Since the action happened after the start of the Inquiry -

It's destruction of evidence.

The only way impeachment will work is if enough Dems come forward beforehand and call for Obama and/or Holder to either step down or be removed - akin to GOP Congressional leaders going to the White House and telling Nixon it was time to go. And even if Holder goes, all Obama has to do is appoint someone just as willing to engage in selective enforcement and we’re right back to square one.

Some of them are still in recipient's inboxes. However, those persons are just as much partisan hacks as Lerner. And the Obama Admin has made examples of whistleblowers on purpose.

the House should do what it can and let the dems defend to guy if they think they must. Time to excerise the pose they have and try to hold people accountable. Aren’t you angry about all the scandals, damage to the country and nothing being done?

It just means that the more power a HUMAN has, inherently power over others, the more likely he is to be corrupted.

That adage is the basis of, or at least based on, a conservative/Christian worldview.

The leftist worldview is that people are “basically good”, and that those who seek power are inherently less corruptible, and should be trusted with as much power as they “need”.

I am plenty angry. But I also don’t believe in futile gestures. The only way Obama would be removed is if there is sufficient support for such with some Senate Dems - it takes a 2/3rds majority. Until we start hearing from leading Dems that it is time for Obama to go, there is no point bothering with impeachment. The House should use the lever it has - the power of the purse - to try and restrain this criminal enterprise by starving them of funds.

Nothing to see here or it would have been reported in the NYT (owned by the OMG). We need to focus more on American Idol or reality TV. You guys are too serious about real news. Take a chill pill and relax.

They like most government agencies have to spend ALL of their bloted budgets to insure they get more money the following year. While they complain about budgets they seem to swim in money, enough to spend tens of millions to prematurely retire hardware that could be in use for many more years. They waste money like crazy.

Doing the right thing is not a futile gesture. Set the course and let the chips fall. Let the deems defend him to the voters this year and in 2016.

The goal is removal, but I would settle for the house making an ethical stand for the good of the country. Get it on the historical record.

I will admit that I think the best Obama can do now is serve out a disgraced administration, but I would tie him up responding to impeachment. Perhaps it will lesson the damage he can do.
