Prince Charles Intends to Continue Campaigning When He Becomes King
The Telegraph (UK) ^ | June 28, 2014 | Patrick Sawer

The Prince of Wales is determined that his campaigning and charity work will continue even after he becomes King, emphasising the importance of what he calls “sticking to your guns.

In a rare interview Prince Charles let it be known that he wants the trusts and charities he has set up – whose work covers a broad range of social and environmental concerns – to carry on when he assumes the role of Monarch.

That raises the prospect of a future King Charles III being seen as a supporter of causes, some of which may come into conflict with the views of the public or even the Government of the day – a scenario that could cause complications in Britain’s constitutional monarchy.

Queen Liz will likely outlive this guy, heck didn’t her mom nearly make it to a hundred? King William is more likely than King Charles.

Liz will hang on until Chuck kicks off rather than let that happen.

I honestly believe that The Queen is trying to outlast her son Charles. Wait until he has actually died, or is old enough so that spreading rumors of his ‘Tragic and Rapid Deterioration, no doubt due to the onset of Senility’ will be easily accepted. One month (one week?) after Charles is taken out of the lineage, then Elizabeth steps down, and then hands the crown to Prince William.

Are there actual provisions for that or would he have to waive his right?

“T0his clown won’t rest until he destroys what is left of the British monarchy.”

Labor already hates the Monarchy, and King Twit will finish it off with the rest. Well, Elizabeth did every thing but do a “late, late, term abortion” to keep him off the throne.
“King Charles the Last”!!

I would think there is always the caveat that a deal is voided if the person assigned with the duty is seen to be severely and chronically incapacitated from this point forward. Failing that, Charles could be ‘convinced’ to abdicate if under duress, real or presumed. There may be a variety of ‘undisclosed scandals’ that can be used to make the water of public life a very hot and uncomfortable place, even for a Prince.

I love British serfs.

They are at their best when talking about freedom. It’s hilarious.

But the Queen won't give it him, not as long as he's still married to the Horse Face Witch.

Cromwell wasn’t yet in a position where he was solely responsible, but he was certainly one of the moving forces behind Charley’s decapitation.

Which occurred, BTW, because Charley believed firmly that he, as king, was not obligated to keep any bargains he made if they became inconvenient. Since he believed equally strongly in his obligation to execute those who rebelled against God’s chosen ruler, those rebels were in self-defense forced to kill him first.

A slightly more pliable and dependable man could probably have kept his head by inaugurating the long English trend towards constitutional monarchy. His son Charley II, for instance.

Another good argument against continuing the long-pointless monarchy. Jughead plants trees in Turkey wearing muzzie garb, badmouths US businesses, and in general acts like the great pillock that he is. Off with his head!
