Darrell Issa: Lerner Definitely 'Broke Some Laws' on Emails
NewsMax ^ | 29 Jun 2014 | Sandy Fitzgerald

Former IRS official Lois Lerner had 30 years of experience and knew under the Federal Records Act that she had an obligation to preserve her copies of her emails, House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Darrell Issa says, and "she broke some laws."

Investigators will never know if Lerner crashed her own computer, the California Republican told CNN's Candy Crowley on "State of the Union" Sunday, but the fact remains that the computer's hard drive has been destroyed and years worth of emails are gone and there is no documentation to prove they exist.

So far, around 20,000 of the emails have been retrieved through people she sent them out to and Issa said that investigators know from the discovery they got from those emails that Lerner broke regulations.

Lerner, said Issa, sent "1.1 million tax records over to the Department of Justice" many "including inappropriate or actually illegal disclosures, on behalf of conservative groups."

But Issa said nobody on his committee said Lerner deliberately crashed her own computer. Still, she knew the documents needed to be preserve.

Geez, what a joke the Republicans are playing! Everyone here knows that emails are not on the local drive and all the crashes in the world are not going to eliminate those emails so why are the Republicans going along with this?

Are they in on it or are they just that stupid! Either way, we are the ones being played for the fools...

Ummm... who says her computer ever actually crashed? Has anyone seen a service call log or work order or procurement order for a new one? All of which should exist if things happened the way they claim.

Doesn’t matter! Who cares if her hard drive actually crashed, all emails are available on server and recipient so they are easily retrieved! All of this malarkey is just bull crap! Why aren’t the Republicans bringing in someone knowledgeable about emails to say just that? Good question!

Watch the Civil Court cases. I think one comes up 10 July.

The IRS was duty bound to tell the Courts, in all of the various lawsuits out there, that they had “lost” these emails which were subject to FOIA requests and also subject to “discovery” subpoena.

A special prosecutor MIGHT be appointed by a judge.

She broke laws to the extreme. Now, shoot some truth serum into her arm before the committee and let the whole filthy ooze of Obama’s corruption come spilling out. People like Elenor Holmes Norton will immediately yell “waaaaycist!” but her microphone can be turned off.

I want the links to Osaddama uncovered before the midterm. His fingerprints are all over this. He’s like bobo the clown but less competent.

Oh yeah, the IRS is bound to tell all...geez, what a joke!! Have you not been following any of the last 50 years or so of these kind of actions - and it is getting much worse!

Seems they could call in the person that was head of the IT for her department to confirm her computer crashed.

If Lois’ computer crashed, I am sure she didn’t make that determination. I feel pretty confident she would have called in the IT people to help. Anyone else in her position would have.

Bring in her IT people to confirm the crash. Let’s see who’s lying..

The point is that the IRS is soon to have BOTH Congress AND the Courts on its back.

And do you understand the idea of a “default judgment”? The Court can say that failure to produce evidence, or the willful destruction of evidence, is proof enough that the evidence was beneficial to the plaintiff.

Only if they are not a confirmed Liberal...and not committed to lying (fat chance for a liberal). Sorry but if you want facts, that means criminal complaints. Now just how do we get to that point? Two guesses..and really if you need more, you are a liberal.

WRONG and please do your homework.

The Civil Courts already have pushed this thing very hard. It was the Civil lawsuits, by ACLJ, Jay Sekulow, Mark Levin and others that got us this far, in many ways.
