Agree. Anyone who works for a government check and covets their retirement will do what they’re told. They will follow orders, no matter how egregious. The gravy train is indeed a very powerful inducement that often overrides one’s judgement.

In fact, I would even like to see the company or employer out of the loop. Create a system where by the company is able to contribute (like 401K) to an individual’s insurance plan. The company then gets deduct as an expense, for the amount that they contributed, the cost of the overhead (administration costs) and an additional X% to encourage companies to provide this benefit.
You could have a larger benefit (X + some amount) for benefits offered to full time employees. This would reverse the Obamacare trend of forcing people into part time status.
Individuals could then go shop the State exchanges or even the individual markets to find the best insurance that is a fit for them. This then takes the burden of HR and HIPPA and all the other regulatory requirements off of the business.
Individuals could :
- self insure (just sock away the money)
- buy a catastrophic plan (low cost and put away the rest)
- buy additional insurance coverage if needed
- buy full coverage
- participate in State risk pools for pre-existing conditions
Maybe it is time to start impeachment. After November with a GOP controlled House and Senate Obama could be removed from office. I’m not so sure Democrats would be in lockstep to prevent his removal in the Senate after the election blood bath they will take this fall. Obama’s dictatorial rulings could be even too much for many Democrats to take and they could be looking at the extinction of their party in many states.
Today's Supreme Court decision does NOT prevent women from killing their unborn child, it just stops them from making their employer pay for it.

A whole lot of folks are weeping over the state of our country. But, we must shed our tears (which relieves stress) and then put aside our sorrow..we’ve got work to do and bigger fish to fry. We must be focusing on what we must do, and how we’re going to do it.
