Flood of illegal immigrants coming to a neighborhood near you
Watchdog.org ^ | July 1, 2014 | Tori Richards

Tens of thousands of immigrants who illegally crossed the Mexico border into Texas are in the process of being released into communities throughout the nation rather than being indefinitely detained or immediately deported, a congressman told Watchdog.org.

The releases have already started and the Border Patrol did not disclose how many. At least 60,000 Central Americans have entered the country illegally this year, though some news reports say the figure is as high as 170,000. An effort is under way to place children in foster homes or with relatives already living in the U.S., said Rep. Louie Gohmert, R-Texas.

Not even a slap on the wrist. Tori Richards talks about the release of an unknown number of immigrants into the United States.

The adults are being given a “notice to appear,” something like to a traffic ticket that requires they show up for a deportation hearing. Following that notice, they are simply being released. Those who return for the hearing will face a federal immigration judge to determine their fate.

“You know good and well they won’t show up and we won’t go looking for them,” Gohmert said. “When they get their piece of paper saying report back on such a day at such a time, they take that as their legal permit to stay in the country and they go do what they want.”

A senior Los Angeles County Sheriff’s detective who routinely deals with illegal immigrants said a “massive number – 80 to 90 percent” do not show up for deportation hearings. Detention is not even being considered because Homeland Security facilities are not equipped to hold a large number of people, said the detective, who spoke on a guarantee of anonymity.

The Border Patrol on Tuesday is expected to begin transporting some immigrants to Southern California despite the protests of U.S. Rep. Ken Calvert, R-Calif. Calvert said he had heard a rumor of the transportation and pleaded with Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson to leave California out of the Texas border mess. Flights carrying 280 people a day will continue for the foreseeable future, FoxLA reported.

Calvert was not initially notified by the Department of Homeland Security. He learned of the plan only when his staff called local Border Patrol agents.

“Instead of solving the immigration problems along our border in Texas, President Obama has decided to spread that problem into communities in my congressional district and throughout Southern California,” Calvert said in a statement.

The senior Los Angeles County Sheriff’s detective offers a shocking insight into DHS’ “notice to appear” program.

“We have illegal immigrants who have been detained because they are suspects in a crime but we don’t have the evidence to charge them yet so they are just released,” the detective said. “Many of these people have already been convicted of felonies here. It used to be after they served their time in the jail they would be released to immigration officials and deported, but that ship has long since sailed.

“We even have a word for them — criminal aliens,” the detective said.

DHS spokesman Roger Maier was asked about the number of immigrants in custody and how many have already been released. He replied, “I do not have the data immediately available.”

Gohmert was at the Texas border last week, witnessing the problem firsthand.

“Some of them are the cutest little kids you could ever see, you just want to pick them up and hug them,” he said. “Then there are kids who are 15, 16, 17, you don’t know for sure. They could be over 20, but they don’t have any ID and you just have to take their word for it.”

Gohmert said he talked to two women who said the fathers of their children were in North Carolina with good jobs and that they wanted to go there.

“Not only did they think they could come and get to stay, they had heard that the U.S. government would transport the children to wherever the parents were,” Gohmert said. “What’s going to happen is that they will be provided with health care, anything to meet their needs, and food stamps.”

I had to wonder if Hume’s family is being blackmailed or something. When I heard him last week, reciting the amnesty/non-amnesty leftist tripe, I was horrified.

I’ve been shunning hispanics for many years now. Won’t associate with them, befriend them, or hire them. Don’t give a rat’s a$$ about their culture or food.

I ignore them. They can go back from where they came.

This is a beautiful sight. I hope people around the country are waking up.

The mayor in Murietta stood up for his community and urged protesters not to back down. He is a great American.

They managed to turn the buses around. But the downside to people standing up is that Obama and Holder might get the street war they have been itching for.

I am in a small town in Central KY and while driving into my local Walmart I got behind a white bus marked U.S. Government and noticed that either the seats sat very low or the people on the bus were vertically challenged (either dwarfs or midgets, but seeing as how I am so PC, I call em v.c.).

I did not see them unload and this was a week or so before the children without borders stuff started. We already have a ton of illegals in this area, mainly working in the tobacco and illegal drug business, matter of fact the largest dealer in town is Mexican and is rapidly buying all the legal small businesses up that he can. They have taken the drug business from the blacks after a few shootings.

Well coming soon to your neighborhood and in this case I hold the tobacco farmers responsible, they recuited Mexicans years ago with flyers to come to our town, saying there was work here for them. It isn’t just the greedy 1% that are responsible for this mess.

“What happened to Brit?” I was wondering that myself. I used to like him a lot. Potomoc dengue fever I’m guessing.

No, this all started with the Immigration and Nationality Act of 1965. Contrary to popular belief, Ted Kennedy (D-Hell) didn't co-sponsor the bill, but he promoted the heck out of it.

He’s been going wobbly on a couple of issues lately. Maybe he’s sweet on the Mooch.

Been there too long. Potomac fever. Born in D.C. and spent his whole life there. Hopeless case.

A friend of mine told his liberal teacher son to take in five illegals and care for them. Son went nuts and told him he was being ridiculous..

Why, my friend said, if you think we should take care of them, lead the way. Take in just five and care for them.

Needless to say the conversation was over.

The schools have no choice when it comes to providing K-12 education. The Supreme Court made that mandatory with Plyler vs Doe in 1982. In Fairfax County, Virginia they pay $104 million a year for ESOL instruction for 31,000 students.

*******

That 1982 Supreme Court ruling above is the reason we need Constitutional amendments like the following to try to control illegal immigration:

1. "School attendance: Only citizens, legal residents, those with special student visas can attend elementary, high school, and colleges in the United States."

2. "One parent must be a citizen before a newborn child is given automatic citizenship."

3. Felony: We must finally declare that crossing the border illegally is a felony.

Illegal parents come to the United States for the wonderful benefits that their children can receive, like a quality education and great health care. Can you blame them for making the dangerous, long trip with their young children, or sending their children by themselves with the hope that the United States will automatically let them stay?

I don't understand how a child can illegally cross the southern border one day and automatically be eligible to enroll in public school the next day. That is wrong.

That's certainly your right, but you're missing out. I've had excellent hispanic neighbors I liked much better than the yuppies who moved in and replaced them.

None were La Raza types, or had the pin headed idea of La Reconquista, of course.

Rednecks come in many colors too. I’ve seen a lot of tan Hispanic rednecks.

Of course, you’re correct too.

My more recent approach saves me a lot of time and aggravation.
