I don't go anywhere without my guns for personal self defense.
That included Target but not anymore. Will never shop there again because
the last thing I want is a gunfight with some fool who thinks everyone
will comply to the anti-gun request but himself.

I’m calling my local Target now to ask if they are going to have any armed security guards.

If they can’t be trusted with my credit card they can’t be trusted with my security.

I just called target at (612) 696-3400 option #4 and told them that I will not be able to shop there until this policy is reversed. They documented my comments and assured me that they would pass them up to management. There was no wait to speak with someone so they don't appear to be getting much feedback on this yet.

Letters can also be mailed to:

Target Corporation
1000 Nicollet Mall
Minneapolis, MN 55403

Well, OK then. Bye-bye, Target.

“No”, I answered.

I wouldn’t require all employees to wear guns, for two practical reasons. First of all, they are doing a lot of physical work, and for the vast majority having a gun would be just another aggravation.

That being said, store managers and loss prevention managers should carry guns, and guns should be used to “incentivize” employees, such as giving top employees a gun and ammo in addition to year end bonuses. And even then, they should be able to opt for the cash equivalent.

i also agree this is a response to “in your face” actions. they can ask all they want. i’ll shop elsewhere or i’ll ignore them and chp anyway. that’s the whole point oc concealed.
