My father has always maintained that there wasn’t “a dime’s worth of difference” between the two parties.

Sadly, this stink proves it’s less than that...

The voters voted in the first primary for a DEMOCRAT.

There was a book that indicated what party people voted for and some bar code was put near the names to show this.

These folks came back and illegally (according to MS law, but there are no penalties apparently) voted REPUBLICAN.

The SLAM DUNK here is that there’s no debate. They voted Dem and should not have been able to vote Republican.

There’s always ‘he said, but it never happened’ with vote buying. Rarely is there proof.

But this is very easy to prove (well, with thousands of hours of legwork from volunteers) and a very smart approach.

If 5800 or so votes (whatever the exact margin was) can be placed in doubt (we’ll never know exactly how they voted, though we have a darn good idea they voted for Thud), that’s enough to require a new election.

Cochran apparently has told folks he’s out at that point.

Haley Barbour ran the PAC apparently that did the black radio station ads, “Go vote against those Tea Party folks who are out to steal your welfare and freebie programs” and the FEC is investigating that because they didn’t follow the rules.

I was thinking that maybe they had a better chance of slamming Cochran in the general.

A win win for the Left.

Agreed. My point was to not limit your thinking to only what is provable in court. Some posters won't think past what's provable beyond a reasonable doubt, which is a bar that is not necessary here.

Many of the same people complaining about him now, would STILL call him the lesser of two evils and crawl naked over broken glass and AIDS infested needles to rally people to vote for him in November.

Do you have names because I haven't seen or heard anyone who would still vote for him.

The republicans really are stupid. The democrats must be laughing their asses off. The gopE got in bed with the democrats to commit voter fraud because the democrats know how to do it. But it will be the gop who goes down in flames. And for years the media will be talking about the republican vote fraud. Of course, the liberal voters will have their line to spew constantly.

things shock me but I just have to ask WHY?...WHY do they do this stuff?...

I remember the Toon impeachment and there were just a few "band of brothers" who stood up tall and strong....

is it the money?...the blackmail?...is it that they really know we're all going to one world govt and they want their piece of it?....

I agree...though I’m not one who understands the legistics of the laws in Miss.

But you can bet the demorats will not let this pass unopposed...they will fight with leverages and money and blackmail to disrupt this effort.

And don’t forget the 19,000 Absentee ballots that you know are chock full of illegal votes.

>> 3300 illegal votes so far, we may have met that threshold.

Oddly doubtful given the toothy voracity of the law.

Aren’t the individuals who voted twice in some sort of legal jeopardy?

If this becomes reality...

... I might actually start to believe that The Good Guys really DO win in the end, again.

Maybe.

Any possibility of Mr. McDaniel adopting a strategy from the Lisa Murkowski playbook and go Independent during the general election? The dems would be less likely to cross over thinking they may have a chance at the seat. The conservatives could coalesce around McDaniel, leaving the rino voting portion of the GOP on their own? Just a thought.

No, he cannot be a write-in and the door shut on an independent run back in January due to laws there.
