Update: Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins names three potential sites for 2,000 immigrant children
Dallas Morning News ^ | 7/3/14 | Matthew Watkins

Posted on 07/03/2014 2:39:40 PM PDT by DallasBiff

Update at 3:25 p.m.: Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins has announced three possible sites that will house the 2,000 unaccompanied immigrant children he expects to arrive by the end of July: D.A. Hulcy Middle School, the Lamar Alternative Education Program in Grand Prairie and a Parkland Memorial Hospital warehouse on 2420 Butler Road.

Jenkins says these sites have not been vetted, and “some may drop off the list.” He says others may replace them as well.

These three have been “found viable of the dozens of sites we have looked at so far,” he said at the press conference. These buildings, one of which is an empty Dallas Independent School District facility, are ones the county believes “are the most viable to accommodate the children.”

But, he said, it is “not a foregone conclusion all of these sites will be used, and we have got to continue the vet process,” Jenkins said. “One or more than one could fall out.”

He also said the county wants to “hear from the community” before the locations are OK’d.

“I hope as we deal with the community and move forward the community will keep in mind this is about compassion to children, and here in North Texas we don’t turn our back on children.”

You supported Dewhurst, you watch NBC(and take them at face value), and you want us to be outraged at Texas Baptist men for providing laundry and shower facilities.

Got it.

Yes they are enabling the invasion.

I don't see Texas Baptist Men giving them a plane ticket back to El Salvador or Honduras.

You supported Dewhurst,

And I supported Dan Patrick over Dewhurst in 2014.

You are really desperate.

I don't see you doing it either. You must support the invasion AND the diseases they bring.

It's not their job.

Providing the use of shower and laundry facilities to mitigate the health problems of the invasion is an appropriate response.

How about you direct your anger at John Cornyn(R), who is just fine with the invasion?

How about calling for them to return to their home country. Texas Baptist Men aren't doing that.

I also voted against Cornyn in the primary.

Another strawman gone.

I don't know if Texas Baptist Men are calling for them to return home or not. NBC didn't say they were, so I guess you must think they aren't.

Your vocal support of Dewhurst, at a critical time in the election (a week before the run-off where Dewhurst lost by 14%) overwhelms any silent support you may have had for other candidates later.

And like Perry's support of Gore, it won't go away.

“Judge” Clay Jenkins is busy setting up secret meetings with non-profits, churches etc to figure out how to get these kids up here without any demonstrations like they had in California. The meetings are “closed”. They will bring them up here secretly rest assured.

So, what is your solution, Biff?

What do you want motivated activists that retired Dewhurst to his ranch to do?

What part of voting For Dan Patrick over Dewhurst don't you understand.

Anyway good try to hijack this thread to protect Texas Baptist Men and Clay Jenkins in their enabling of this invasion.

I'm not associated with Texas Baptist Men. And Clay Jenkins is a Methodist.

I'm seeing a reaction, not enabling.

I'll repeat my question, Biff.

What do you want motivated activists that retired Dewhurst to his ranch to do?

What is your plan?

Call your representative.

I saw Clay Jenkins on TV and he is not as cocky as he was on Saturday.

He knows that this is not popular.

What is your plan Johnny?

Other than attacking someone reporting on the invasion.

Can't do much with calls, Biff.

Burning shoe leather was required to get rid of Dewhurst from the political scene.

You need a better plan.

Granted... my plan of sending them back in barrels probably won't get much traction, even though I think I can get the Texas Trebouchet Society involved.

Who supports Clay Jenkins? I don't know him or of him. Does he need to be removed? Is he an at-large candidate?

All those fiddly bits have to be gone over.

We've figured out the invasion if we were sentient during the '70s.

I didn't post a thread. I would have, if I had the answers.

I do have an overall plan, and that is to politically destroy liberal republicans wherever I find them.

Not very specific to what you posted, though. Besides reminding everyone what your history is.

It was sure nice of him to unilaterally decide to bring them to Dallas.
