While it is just a tragic anecdote, the latest story surrounding the chronic and too often fatal inefficiency of Veterans Affairs hospitals is illustrative of a much larger problem.

Sheer idiocy. waiting for an ambulance to move a dying man from one building to another. Some one should have gotten a stretcher or wheelchair or carried him in their arms to the emergency room. How many vets carried their wounded comrades, under fire to safety and the bureaucrats at this hospital could not have violated their ‘sacred rules’ to save a life. the supreme act of negligence and despite for the veterans in their charge.

V.A. System is a preview of Obamacare. Bureaucracy adds rules and regulations in an attempt to cover each and every condition (an impossibility) and while doing so discourages or eliminates personal initiative and responsibility.

Remember, the one area of health care reform that was CONSPICUOUSLY IGNORED was legal tort reform. Unsurprising given the influence that the tort lawyer lobby has over the Democrat Party.

Apparently, the employees of the Veterans Administrations cannot be relied upon like a solder would from his buddies in combat. That tells you everything you need to know about this country’s government and the people who enshrined it.

I guess you could say you can’t fix stupid but with all these types of stories of vets left to die in one way or another, it looks like a policy of the VA to me.

An ugly pattern emerges when you look at and hear about the outrageous conduct of the VA. The VA, doing the job our enemies couldn’t do on the battlefield.
