FB people are the thinnest-skinned people on earth. No one is really your “friend” there. No one!

You are trying to change the past which can not be done. It is like going over the plays in a game afterwards. If we had done so and so, we would have won. The past is in the past and can not be undone. We can only change what we do itoday and in the future.

I don’t mind saying bush was one of our greatest presidents.

I liked Reagan a lot but bush was better.

Reagan did big time amnesty, backed down to terrorists and ran up huge deficits yet bush is treated like a traitor.

Americans turned the nation over to democrats in November 2006. It’s has been he’ll ever since. Intellectually honest people admit this.

I blame the Obamaphone crowd and the ones who voted for him just because he is black.

I’d like a video of him saying how the current usurper is a commie and has undermined the country. Oh, that doesn’t exist because it isn’t gentlemanly...oh, that’s because GWB is a part of a monarchy in this country and is insulated from our real lives. Yeah, he defended the country, but he spent it into compassionate oblivion and didn’t have anyone in his admin with the ability to connect or explain to us what is going on.

To those who insist that Bush led 0bama, I say McCain led to 0bama.

Even that claim is weak. It's like saying the St. Louis Cardinals led to the Boston Red Sox in the 2013 World Series.

“You’ve shaken the trees and out comes the Bush haters on FR”

I am not a Bush hater. He made many costly mistakes (changed rules of engagement during the war; did not establish a MacArthur-like benevolent dictatorship in Iraq as was done in Japan; had a conservative mandate after 2004 elections, but turned sharply left).

In my opinion, he did not have a strong political philosophy as did Reagan and therefore could not succeed given the times.

Still, the constitution was not under constant attack as occurred after he left office.

In retrospect, W should have been more aggressive with executive orders and gone to the “nuclear” option to get his judges confirmed.

Happy birthday Mr. President, we are at the same time sad you are gone, and glad you are gone.

More than that. The political news machine was pretty much in the bank against GOP winning upon Bush’s re-election. IMHO, some people wanted him to win re-election so that you would have moreto blame on the GOP in general.

" I got this comment from someone I went to school with, “Keep your politics to yourself.”. "

Did you tell this person to stuff it, that Facebook is a public forum and he/she could leave anytime?

0bama beat McCain, not Bush. I have no idea who won the world series, or even who played in it.

LOL at “paranoid Chihuahua”. How very appropriate. :)

I agree...GW did a good job after 9/11. We could have fared far worse.

I am on the list with those who realize it wasn’t necessarily W’s fault that we ended up with The Won. I blame the MSM and ignorant voters.

The invasion of Iraq under false pretenses doesn;t help;...And what were those? Yellow cake found and sent to Canada? Chemical weapons found? An Islamic slimeball hanged? What EXACTLY were those false pretenses? I’m interested. The world community said repeatedly, “Saddam will have a nuke in six (five four, three, sixmonths)”. EVERY intelligence agency said the same thing and the Dems Ok’d the invasion (as well as many of our allies). Just interested.

He made his deal with Vicente Fox, who pleaded with him to leave the border open so Mexico wouldn;t be destabilized by masses of unemployed young men.

W was simply Obama Lite.

My biggest problems with him were NCLB, TARP, Karl Rove, the Haditha 8 prosecution, the Ramos/Compean prosecutions and lack of integrity to pardon those guys and Scooter Libby. On the positive side, he really loved the troops, and w/o fanfare, wrote the families of the fallen and visited the wounded. Bob
