I miss GW Bush. Not our best president but compared to the current one, he’s Ronald Reagan times 10. A very decent man who actually cared for our country.

Don’t miss him one bit.
Were it not for him this jerk would be a little more harmless.

Me too. I will post what I said on another thread. I posted a picture of President and First Lady Laura on Facebook. I got this comment from someone I went to school with, “Keep your politics to yourself.”. I thought it was an awesome picture of a couple in love. Guess she was threatened by the picture.. In today’s world we need all the happy news we can get.

I had a number of problems with W’s second term, and posted my concerns on FR, but 0bama makes Bush look like Mother Teresa and Capt America combined,
Imho.

Do you reply think that? This nut would be bad under any circumstances. He was brought up to hate this country and he would not change that for any reason.

“I miss GW Bush. Not our best president but compared to the current one, he’s Ronald Reagan times 10. A very decent man who actually cared for our country.”

I held my nose as I voted for him twice, but he bears plenty of responsibility for the issues along the southern border. The invasion of Iraq under false pretenses doesn;t help; if he were the head of a smaller Third World country he’d be indicted by the Hague for that.

Yes, W is a decent and honorable person. But if he had been more competent, we probably would not have Obama now.

Let's suppose that Bush II had:

1. picked a younger vice-president, someone who could have ran in 2008.
2. really crushed Al-Qaeda, instead of just pushing them into the hills.
3. knocked out Saddam without getting us involved in a quagmire.

Then Obama would today be just another corrupt senator. And it would be a GOP president who would be picking federal judges.

Obama’s rise to power was pre-ordained. You can blame Bush all you want, but it’s pointless.

He was far from a perfect president. But he was a gracious man, with good manners, who did not sic the IRS on his political enemies like a paranoid chihuahua. I still am not sure what he could have done better in the aftermath of 9/11. Sigh...

Well, rudey, for once we agree. I don’t blame Bush for the rise of Obama. I blame Americans for the rise of that monster.

Exactly. If you’re looking for someone to blame for Obama, step out on your front stoop and look in both directions.

“Let’s suppose that Bush II had:

I doubt ANY Republican was going to win in 2008; the economy had taken a disastrous turn (with widely-publicized job losses), and many of the problems today had started already (Obama just sped up the process).

That was a rude comment from someone reading your FB posts. If they don’t like what they see on someone else’s FB, website, whatever, they should make sure to stop looking.
