Global warming computer models confounded as Antarctic sea ice hits new record high
Mail Online ^ | July 7, 2014 | David Rose

The levels of Antarctic sea-ice last week hit an all-time high – confounding climate change computer models which say it should be in decline.

America’s National Snow And Ice Data Center, which is funded by Nasa, revealed that ice around the southern continent covers about 16million sq km, more than 2.1 million more than is usual for the time of year.

It is by far the highest level since satellite observations on which the figures depend began in 1979. In statistical terms, the extent of the ice cover is hugely significant.

Two weeks ago I heard a report stating all Emperor Penquins would be dead by the end of the century.

Damn, I hate it when bad news dies on the vine. /s

Does this mean Al Gore will have to give a refund to every person whose money was ripped off from this scam?

Garbage in, garbage out. Lies in, lies out. That’s how computers work.

These same computers can’t even tell me what the weather is going to be like five days from now, yet I’m supposed to believe it can predict the climate 100 years from now? A sucker may be born every minute, but I’m not one of them.

The government also reports inflation is only 1% and that the unemployment rate is only 7%.

Which leads me to ask, what to you call a climate change computer modeler?

Answer: A liar.

Models confounded? Why are they afraid of inputting the new data into their models and recalculating? Are they afraid that they will get a result that is not consistent with the beliefs of their chosen Church Of The Poisoned Mind?

and I can create a computer model that predicts me winning the Powerball on Wednesday.

“SHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!

Nobody’s supposed to talk about the Southern Hemisphere! Or real Science.

Great jumping butterballs, don't you know that I stand to lose TRILLIONS if my scam is discovered by the mainstream?!?!”

Considering the way they live, more ice would pose a dire threat. They nest many miles from the ocean on the very edge of survivability. Less ice would probably be a good thing.

Count on it, Al Gore is going to double down on the “AGW” scam.

This short period of falling temperatures everywhere, only means that the whole system is backing up to take a new run-up to even higher temperatures.

Or some such foolishness. Logic is NOT Al Gore’s strong suit.

Yes, but the 50 to 90 million that are out of work are mostly not counted. The Feds don't count people who have been looking for work for so long that they have given up.

The Feds don't count food inflation, because they make six figures and it doesn't affect them like it affect a working person.

And actual Science means absolutely NOTHING to a climate change computer modeler. IF if doesn't help government supremacists or carbon credit scammers, Science is not to be mentioned.

ce around the southern continent covers about 16million sq km, more than 2.1 million more than is usual for the time of year.

And if every single km3 of that sea ice melted instantaneously, sea levels would not increase a single millimeter.

When someone comes up with a computer model of the earth’s climate that, run with data from, say 1970, gets the subsequent time-evolution of mean global temperature, Arctic sea ice extent and Antarctic sea ice extent correct, without basically putting them in by hand, let me know. I might start caring what computer climate models say at that point. (Or I might not — it’s still an open chaotic dynamical system.)

Actually, this is bad news for Emperor penguins. More sea ice means farther travel to nesting grounds. If the moms don’t make it back in time, their chicks die.

Silly!

Don't you know that the melting is CAUSING the freezing?

All that melting ice is keeping the surface temperatures too cold.

According to National Geographic, anyway...

The good news is that the actual raw data is being reported and not fudged.

“Some scientists have suggested the Antarctic ice increase may itself be caused by global warming.”

Of course.
