Karma-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha!!!

Shortly after Costco announced that it was removing Dinesh D'Souza's book, "America: Imagine A World Without Her," from its stores, it soared to #1 on Amazon.Com. Meanwhile, Costco has been licking its wounds from all the angry reactions it has received and has raised the white flag of surrender by announcing that it will be restocking that book at its stores. So not only has the Costco attempt to yank D'Souza's book utterly failed but it has also hurt its reputation with its customers as you can see in the many reviews at Amazon which slammed Costco:

D'Souza's America is now listed as #1 on Amazon's list of the 100 Best Selling Books in all categories. Blood Feud: The Clintons vs. the Obamas is listed at #7.

Meanwhile, Hillary's ghostwriter's book Hard (and boring) Choices is listed at #88 and continuing to drop like a brick.

Good! That one day boycott was rough.

It just seemed that the conservative answer would be to let Costco punish itself, and then issue some well chosen bons mots when it does.

The best conservative approach?

Three simple points.

Spend my money elsewhere.

Tell Costco, why.

Tell others, why.

Hillary’s book is ranked at 16 on Amazon and the reviews are awful...

http://www.amazon.com/Hard-Choices-Hillary-Rodham-Clinton/dp/1476751447/ref=zg_bsnr_books_16

And yes, it is still in Costco stores.

Pulling the book was purely political and then they lied about it!

>> It was carpitalism

Apparently effective carping...

I’m sure this naive experiment by Costco’s CEO came at cost without garnering any new business.

I hope anyone who actually shops at Costco takes this opportunity to stop doing so. Screw them and their transparently phony excuses.

I heard it was ranked 70 someplace. But CostCo got caught in a manly situation with Hillary’s book still in their stores. It’s going to be interesting to read about their back peddling ...

I bought my copy from Amazon.

So did I.

I bought the Kindle ebook version. At the same time, I bought the Audible audio book version. When you buy a Kindle version you can buy the Audible version for only a couple of dollars more. It is great for listening when you drive.

If you buy a conservative book at a brick & mortar store it will somehow never make it onto the New York Slimes best sellers list. If you buy it at Amazon it will be included in the Amazon best sellers list.

My read is that they have a rigid process algorithm there with only a minimal number of buyers making guesstimates in the loop. If the up and coming book doesn’t hit the best seller list soon enough, then it gets remaindered. And it can make stupid decisions like this, I mean stupid even from a gross sales viewpoint.

They’re a super bulk bargain house. If you want a gross of toilet paper rolls that’s the place to go. Individual items like books, probably less so; they probably could get out of the book business altogether and not suffer all that much.

Nope. Hillary's book is currently ranked at #92 on Amazon's list of top 100 sellering books. It was listed at #88 just a few minutes ago, but it is continuing to plummet.

At this rate, it should drop entirely off of the top 100 list within the hour.

Wonder where Hillary’s book is placed and whether CostCo has pulled it for the same reason.

And the least-read political book is …

Guess who?

Be aware that Costco is also behind the new “Boxed” app as well, basically an app for “bulk mail order crap”. Boycott is working on them, otherwise they’d be calling it a “Costco” app, let’s keep it up!

Boycott Costco permanently, something that people should have doing for years.

It will be interesting how Costco will do the shuffle step saying it was nothing to do with Hillary’s book since it’s so popular and all ...

Sorry....no.

We didn’t ‘win’. They win if this manipulation to protect their stock price succeeds.

I want their stock price to tank precipitously and then see a ceasing of the political activities of the founders and Corporate officers in general.

I personally won’t be satisfied with anything short of that at a minimum.

I could give a damn about the book; this is about PRINCIPLE.

Liberals in business...what an oxymoron.

My executive membership was actually due to be renewed this month. I sent them an E-mail explaining why this decision would make me a Sam's club member. I really do spend thousands of dollars at Costco each year both in the store and online.

We should all buy the book.

Just not from Costco.
