Glenn Beck said bringing soccer balls, teddy bears, and hot meals to illegal immigrants who have been detained along the U.S.-Mexico border will be the most right thing he has ever done.
On July 19, Beck will travel to McAllen, Texas, because he believes Americans must "open our hearts" to the illegal immigrant children who have been unlawfully entering the country.
"I’ve never taken a position more deadly to my career than this – and I have never, ever taken a position that is more right than this," Beck claimed, according to The Blaze.
Beck said helping illegal immigrant children, most of whom have fled Central American nations, was more "right" to him than even calling out radical Islam.
“We’re going to fill some tractor-trailers with food, with water,” Beck said. “The churches have asked us if we could bring teddy bears and soccer balls, so we’ve loaded up a whole tractor-trailer of nothing but teddy bears and soccer balls. And then I’m going to go serve breakfast and lunch, and I’m going to help unload these trucks, hot meals for 3,000. That’s what we’re doing.”
Some illegal immigrants have been found to have contagious diseases and dangerous gang affiliations, but Beck also emphasized that the United States should be accessible to "all those fleeing poverty and violence."

Beck reminds me of someone I know with battered woman syndrome. Always taking the high road back to the abuser instead of to a better place. Always thinking her saintly behavior will convert the abuser into a saint.
And as an aside, the problems of Honduras were created by Hondurans, not us.

IIRC,Catholic Charities now gets 40% of their $ from gubmint grants.
I used to be into his radio and TV show, and was a huge defender.
I totally dumped everything Beck-related after the Bundy Ranch stand off. He went from being the most informed guy in media, to a total wing-nut that thinks he is a profit from God.
Not opening our country and all of its support networks to an endless stream of invaders encouraged by Obama is not the same as abusing children. It is a way, instead, to national suicide.
I have really struggled with this issue, because I know the Bible teaches compassion in these situations.
The problem I have is that I am fully aware that the overwhelming of the border with these children is a deliberate strategy, designed to open the floodgates of our country to millions of poor Latin Americans.
It is possible that as much as 90% of Latin America’s population is as poor as these children we are seeing. Can we absorb them all? Because if we offered blanket amnesty most would attempt to immigrate here.
And the irony is that once they are here, the Democrat politicians who would be greatly empowered by their presence would seek to establish the same socialist policies that caused their native countries to descend into poverty, violence and chaos.
So 20, 30, 40 years from now, the United States would closely resemble the third world crap-holes that these children fled to avoid.
Most of us may not be here to see it; and yes, Heaven, not Earth, is our home. But shouldn’t we consider what we leave behind for our children and grandchildren?
All those fleeing poverty? Nothing like a couple billion uneducated and impoverished immigrants to change a country. We could become two Indias in no time!
Bring food and soccer balls and go home with TB or scabies, or a knife in your back from one of the gang-bangers who you play soccer with.

However, I happened to listen to a segment on the radio during which he explained his position: His actions are based on a very personal level and his own family experience, related to a promise he made his father.
Can't fault him for trying, but he's not the Glenn Beck I used to know anymore. He claims to have 40 million listeners a month...for the good he's trying to do in other areas (VA, for example) I'll give him a pass on what he's trying to do here.
Besides, for all intents & purposes, this 'crisis' was intended to split the conservative vote (among other things).

There are better people out there to crap on; I don't think Beck deserves it, particularly given that we're all being manipulated into believing that he does, ya know?
