Members of the California Latino Legislative Caucus said they watched children play soccer and learn English on their tour of the shelter at the Ventura County Naval Base.
They weren’t allowed to talk to the kids, but they said the children seemed to be in good spirits, and the legislators said the sleeping areas and makeshift classrooms were satisfactory.
"I was pleased to see clean, adequate dorms and even happier to see content, well-behaved children," California State Assemblywoman Lorena Gonzalez (D-San Diego) said in a statement.
State Senator Hannah-Beth Jackson, the Democrat who represents Ventura, said church leaders and volunteers in her district had stepped up to help the children.
“This is America at its best,” she said, “and I’m very proud that they’re in my district.”
California Latino lawmakers said 700 children at the Ventura shelter had already been reunited with family in the U.S. They are generally allowed to stay in the country while they await the outcome of their immigration case.

You have to consider that they’re speaking from a third world perspective.
Not so much a facade as a staged scene. The Nazis used the same controls and excuses and finally let in the Red Cross to inspect their early camps before the war. They made sure that everything was sunshine and skittle-crapping unicorns and after the inspectors were gone the beatings, starvation, and murder resumed. Not allowing open inspection from the start is the immediate indicator that some devious activity is being hidden.

And, as an American citizen, if you don’t show up for a court date - a warrant is issued for your arrest -and if and when you are apprehended - you WILL go to jail. This country is so screwed up. But, these little lawbreakers and their enablers just go skipping down that yellow brick road - free from deportation or prosecution for being here illegally. When in the he** is this country going to be off its cowardly a** and do something about these liberal policies destroying our country?
Now that we have welcomed these guys with open arms (55,000 minors and 235,000 adults) you can bet millions will be moving north.
