I am living in the Philippines on a Tourist Visa. I know plenty of Filipinos that cannot get visas to go to the US.I must renew it consistently or be deported, AFTER SPENDING TIME IN JAIL.

I have to believe he entered illegally or just decided to overstay a visa. Since he states that his passport has no stamps, maybe he joined the Muzzies crossing the Rio Grande!

They just changed the rules, allowing me to renew every six months, and stay up to 36 months. Then, I MUST leave the country (even for 1 day) and return and start the process over again. They are happy to have our money being spent here, but we are not supposed to take from them.

Those of us that have chosen to be here are happy to abide by the rules.

As a rule, you are allowed to drive using your home-country driver's license. So unless you never had a driver's license, you have a driver's license.

I would make a wager that the actual number of illegals would top 40 million in the USA. If you look around in any restaurant, car wash, own care biz, or other menial jobs, you will likely see a Hispanic face. I count that many have legal paperwork to be in the country.

I love it here in the Philippines. It is an island nation (7107 islands at big tide, hehe) filled with people who know that life is to be lived. The poor people are happy, though everybody wants a better life. I pass by a nipa hut home (straw roof and bamboo walls) and in front of the simple structure, they will plant flowers and keep the area clean, sweeping into the street every morning).

Public transportation is a staple here. You can travel many kilometers for a few pesos. I take a jeepney ride 8 km to the S&R (like Costco) and both ways it costs me around 12 Ph pesos. I have a Honda Scooter which uses more gas than that...

He entered the US with fake papers pretending to be his Uncle's son, and then lived in the US with fraudulent papers until 2012 when he wrote an article about it to boost his journalistic career.

I think it is funny at he feels stuck in S. Texas with BP at both the airport and highway checkpoints. If he wants to take his chances he could charter a plane, but that is pretty obvious and a lot of pilots won't risk their tickets.

This is anecdotal, but I live in the Midwest. 30 years ago there were barely in Hispanics in this region. Not saying that is a good thing, just observation. 20 years ago, you would notice Hispanics occasionally at big stores or malls. 10 years ago, there were more Hispanics in the area. Now, everywhere you go, you encounter Hispanics (not speaking English) on a daily basis. The swimmer (Kennedy) got what he wanted, zero is just finishing the job.
