The VA scandal continues to unfold, although primarily through local and regional reporting, demonstrating that the issues of corruption and bureaucratic fraud go beyond just wait lists. Today, Congress will make public the testimony from an Inspector General agent, and it’s not pretty. The IG found that mail and claims were hidden in two separate VA systems, and in Philadelphia the postmarks go back to 2011, and claims were redated to hide their age:

Yep. I think the claims area is going to be even worse. The medical side had bonuses, but the claims side is actual money. I think they are going to find thievery on an unprecedented level in the VA.

If they spent as much time and effort getting everything done right in a timely manner as they do covering up their NOT doing so, there’d be very few complaints.

Today I had a 30-ish couple come to look at a property for his wife to rent while she is a visiting teacher, and the husband keeps his job in Washington DC as an employee for the SBA.

I told them "you mean you both make your living off other people's taxes?" , and then told them " Sorry, the place is already rented out".

There are quotas of how many of (X) can be processed by a federal empoyee. Same with how many patients they can see. I think psychiatrists are limited to 4 per day. This runs thru all branches of the federal government. It's how they make the case to always grow it and every solution is to employ more staff and spend more money.

Productivity is never a consideration by the unions.
