The prolonged aftermath of the Mississippi runoff in which Thad Cochran edged Chris McDaniel has produced schisms within the Republican National Committee and even in another states GOP.
Is Chris McDaniel a modern-day Don Quixote tilting at windmills or is he a brave warrior, fighting to the last, for a just cause?
Either way, the tea party candidates protracted battle against six-term Sen. Thad Cochran (R) of Mississippi has deepened the split in an already divided Mississippi Republican Party and is spreading further into the national GOP.
More than three weeks after state Senator McDaniel lost his primary runoff to Senator Cochran by more than 7,600 votes, he is still not conceding the race and not going away quietly. On Thursday he is launching a three-day Truth and Justice tour of Mississippi.

McDaniel claims thousands of improper ballots were cast in the runoff, after an intensive effort by Cochran forces to turn out black, Democratic voters. Democrats were allowed to vote in the GOP runoff as long as they hadnt voted in the Democratic primary.

Good. It is my hope that the GOP suffer because of what they did...and continue to do to Conservatives.
Taking national Republican money and using it to scare Democrats into voting for the opposition?
I’d say that’s a ‘split.’
Today is the first day of early voting in Knox County. I will vote today
and I will vote for Carr.
However, I will not vote for Lamar if Carr loses the primary under any
circumstance in the general. In fact, instead of staying home, I may vote
for Lamar’s opponent as a protest vote against the GOP.
I am done with being dumped on and rained on by my own party.
Amen, same here in Ohio, except I do have a Libertarian candidate to vote for in my district, YEA!
Cochran should be ran out of the state and take Boss Hog Haley RINO Barber with him.
..."and is spreading further into the national GOP".
I hope it is spreadig nation wide. When Romney savaged other republicans but then turned all lovey toward Obama, He began this treachery....
bttt
There will be no more votes for Cornyn from the NHN household.
Reince Preibus, Mr. Reince Pribus, please report to the main desk. We have a message for you. Reince Pribus, Mr. Reince Pribus.
And, still not a peep from Reince Priebus! It is time that the PEOPLE got a chance to choose the party leader, not the hacks. By that, I mean the GOP voters. It is time to end this ‘good ole boy system’ once and for all.
Let me ask this question: why would a black voter leave the democrat party to vote republican? Seriously. The republicans NEVER set the record straight, they never go on the offensive to win black votes, they never seem to take issue with Obama. By that, I mean that the issue they take is talk only, then they cave to him. These days, they take a slightly less Marxist path to whatever agenda, but it is still headed the same direction! Good grief! We currently have the fast track and the less fast track to Marxism/Socialism.
Can McDaniel take this to the SC? I think it needs to go there. This needs national attention and for the SC to rule on it might help put the fear of God in more than a few politicians’ hearts.
No matter what the outcome, the GOPe was wrong in what it did and got caught in such a visible manner that the conservative base knows it. There will be repercussions.
Thank you for voting for Joe Carr, but the people of TN remain committed to Lamar! There must be something catchy about that exclamation point.
Are you skipping the Senate race, the first on the ballot, and then down ballot voting for Abbott? Is there a Constitution Party Senate nominee? Probably nobody wanted to pay the $4,000 to file as a third party choice.
Better to skip than to vote Libertarian. That party has a dreadful platform.
Maybe Carr should adopt the exclamation point. Carr!, not Lamar.
Mississippi is an example what the communists empire can do to a nation. We have many communists liberals in the Republican Party.
McDaniel needs litigation money, fast. He needs to mount an effort in federal court. Otherwise, some day soon, he’ll just concede.
I'm in Kenny Marchant's district. His voting record is ok, but he's too quiet for my liking.
