Congressman Exposes Truth Behind Illegal Kids
WND ^ | 7/22/14 | Garth Kant

WASHINGTON – As the only member of Congress to serve in both Vietnam and Iraq, Rep. Kerry Bentivolio, R-Mich., knows what a dysfunctional country looks like.

He has seen his share of suffering and squalor during 27 years of service in the U.S. Army and National Guard, and after evacuating from the surge in Iraq in 2007 with a neck wound.

On Monday, Bentivolio had just returned from a three-day fact-finding trip to Central America to see the source of the immigration crisis for himself.

The congressman told WND that conditions in Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador are certainly not great and there is much hardship, but they are not war zones.

As for the recent avalanche of immigrants?

“I really wouldn’t call them refugees,” said Bentivolio, while also expressing great sympathy for their plight.

He noted, “Our kids are facing similar problems. We have to put our own house in order first.”

From all the well-chosen TV news clips I see of these kids (usually along with their mothers) they are all very well-fed.

Most of the kids are pudgy, and the adult women usually are quite overweight.

The immigration problem really boils down to this, said Bentivolio: “Democrats want the votes, and the Republicans want the cheap labor.”

BINGO!
and to hell with what the citizens want.

Bentivolio has a three-point plan to solve the immigration crisis and restore hope in America.

Secure the border and enforce the laws already on the books.

Provide a secure environment for America’s own children, so each child can be safe and become educated.

Create job opportunities by lowering taxes and reducing regulations.

Works for me.

Wow. I didn't think THAT was possible.

From Wikipedia....

Military service[edit]

Bentivolio enlisted in the United States Army in November 1968 and served in Vietnam from 1970 to 1971 as an infantry rifleman. After a break in service, he later joined the Army National Guard in Michigan as a reservist and served for more than 20 years. Bentivolio was trained as an MLRS/HIMARS crewmember. He served on the home front during Operation Desert Storm and was deployed to Iraq in 2007 with an Artillery unit as a senior human resources sergeant performing combat convoy missions. He retired as a sergeant first class after a neck injury in 2008. Bentivolio's awards include the Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, and the Combat Infantryman Badge.[5]

Thank You Mr. Bentivolio.

How did the kids get here in such numbers?
They certainly did not walk all the way from Honduras by themselves.
Whomever are orchestrating this mass migration are no different from those who use kids as suicide bombers or human shields.

Of course the crusading investigative reporters of our MSM show little interest in finding the answers to your question.

They’re still working on the status of Joe the Plumber’s trade license and the DNA of Palin’s Down Syndrome child.

A diet consisting moslty of corn and rice will do that.

It has been shown (don’t have the citations handy). that poor people tend to be more obese than the more well-to-do.

HOWEVER, that does NOT excuse INVASION of another country!!

We have plenty of poor people here already, and most of them resist the education necessary to liberate them from that.

Just for the curious...

News Article cites “neck wound”. WIKI cites “neck injury” and then...
among the meritorious awards, no mention of Purple Heart.

I’m guessing he hurt his neck simply by virtue of being an old guy in a war zone.

Being an old guy in a war zone is worth a medal in itself.

His bio just says neck injury.

Doesn’t really matter. He was there walking the walk and that’s good enough for me.
