"I´m not a military planner but Hamas puts it´s missiles, it´s rockets in civilian areas, part of it is Gaza is pretty small and its densely populated," she said as neglecting the question of whether or not Hamas should have rockets in area to begin with.

Hey, “an emergency corkscrew landing to avoid heavy incoming fire” will do that to you! Why, I remember those times in ‘nam when our P-3 had to make an emergency corkscrew landing, and boy! Did it tear-up the tires and freak us out! Took me YEARS of therapy to recover from PCLST (post corkscrew landing syndrome trauma)!

Seems like an excellent explanation to me. Plus, it does explain why there is collateral damage when the IDF returns fire. Frankly, I could not care less, not even a little, about the collateral damage. But, at least now we have one of the chosen few explaining why. I feel so much better now!

A quick check on Google Earth reveals that there’s plenty of sparsely populated, or unpopulated land in the Gaza strip. The media only ever shows us pictures of Gaza city, so everyone is left with the impression that Gaza is covered with hospitals, schools, mosques, and residential buildings.
Hamas are all war criminals. Locating implements of war in residential areas is against the Geneva Conventions. There are plenty of alternative locations — but, they would not generate the dead “innocent civilians” that are so important for Hamas propaganda.
