SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - It's still unclear where more than 1,000 immigrant children are living in Georgia after crossing the Mexican border. Over the last six months, the Office of Refuge and Resettlement announced they sent these children to live with families or sponsors in Georgia, but we don't know exactly where they are.
School systems in Georgia are wondering if these children will be enrolling in school.
Officials at the Board of Education said they don't know if they'll be getting any of these immigrant children, but by law all public schools in Georgia are required to have specially trained teachers to help immigrant children.
"We assess if the child has any language needs with an English proficiency test and we get that child settled in the classroom," Georgiana Darsey with the Federal Programs Director for Bulloch County Schools said.
Public school systems like Bulloch County are always prepared for new immigrant students. It's federal law for schools to have plans in place to accommodate their specific needs.
Bulloch County has eight what they call "ESOL" teachers, which is English for Speakers of Other Languages. The teachers will create specific learning plans depending on the child's needs.
"So they can get more individualized attention for their very focused language time," Darsey said.
The federal government awards money to counties that see an increase in their immigrant population. Bulloch County schools have about 79 immigrant students, should they get more this year, Darsey said they'll get more money.
"Those are used for the classroom teachers to purchase resources to help those students become a cultured to our country and area," she said.
Officials said they may not know until the first day of school if they are receiving any more immigrant children, but it they do, they said they're ready.
"It's our job to make them feel comfortable and to reassure them that they are in a safe environment and that we have their best interest at heart," Darsey said.

Obama appointee, UCIS head, Leon Gonzales was interviewed. Totally biased---said his second language was Spanish----and that he once belonged to Casa Manana (or something), that was advocating for unlimited immigration.
The lock-stepping Gonzalez gets grade A for Evasion and for loyally following orders from the Commandant in the WH.
When Democrats questioned him, he knew everything and responded in great detail. But to Republicans he whined about being new to the jobs---and parroted "gotta get back to you on that."

Repub Cong/men Jason Chaffetz, Louis Gohmert and Randy Forbes were standout patriots, protecting Americans from the invading hordes at the border.
Cong Gohmert stopped the show with his probing judicial-like queries---the former judge's brilliant circumlocution, and his prodigious knowledge of the law was awesome---as well as his ability to nail Gonzalez to the wall.

His license to practice law should be pulled.
Sad to see Cong Jason Chaffetz's resignation, knowing we'd get nowhere with the lock-stepping Gonsalez----prostrate in obeisance to Obama---his lips pressed firmly to the WH behind.

We need to find out (1) how many identities he's using, (2) how many govt checks he, his family, and his staff are cashing, and, (3) Guttierez's membership in violent organizations advocating the overthrow of the US govt.

My sister teaches school in northern CA. She has two Spanish-speaking assistants because half the class can’t speak English. So as you can imagine, it makes things a little difficult for the Americans.

Why aren’t all the governors of the states converging on the WH and getting answers? They should all have been in DC weeks/months ago pounding on doors at congressional offices.
School starts next week in Gwinnett County - possibly statewide - and it will be interesting to see what shakes out with kids not speaking English. I have read that these “kids” are not proficient in their own language either. Since they are “mere children”, they wouldn’t even be able to answer the question - “What language do you speak?”
It’s disgusting to listen to the news and to the information they report they are getting from these kids. Who are they kidding - no pun intended!!!! “What country did you come from?” Blank stare!

I’ve tried finding an answer to that very question. I have just about given up.... There’s no problem finding articles on agencies that are making beaucoup bucks from this boondoggle!! It truly is mind boggling the money involved.

Mine have already caught head lice infestations from California public schools. I get 'em treated. They get it again. And again. And again. The health department--after I forced them to abandon burocratese and be honest--finally admitted that they have no plan for eradication of the problem.
Bed bugs already infest hotels, motels, movie theaters, buses.
Look for leprosy, typhoid, cholera, bubonic plague, other Third World diseases to appear in America.
There was a time when such things were unheard of in the U.S.A. That was before America sank into the quicksand of decadence.
What's really going to be bad is when smallpox makes its reappearance in this unvaccinated population.
My main concern for the next school year is TB. I do not believe my county has had any of the illegals shipped in, and I know our county commissioner has been very vocal in the media about fighting it — but, hey, we all know that His Lordship, the High and Mighty Oval Office Squatter does whatever he wants without much heed to anyone’s protest.
