I know it is just a stupid pun, and not “spiritual” at all, and in English, to boot.

Many, yes. However, I have heard through the grapevine that many are royally pissed - they feel utterly betrayed by Obama.
Do they deserve it? Hell, yes. THIS is what they get for voting nearly unanimously as a block - they get taken for granted, just like the blacks (as for them, many are also feeling betrayed, what with all of the emphasis and all of the money being lavished upon the Hispanics - and they, too, deserve what they get).
The worm is beginning to turn a bit. No, you'll never see a majority of Jews pulling the lever for a Republican, but Barry's actions will swing several percent into the "I'm not voting or contributing" column. This will be critical in many elections, and maybe even in the 2016 Presidential election.

American Jews will not vote Republican. Politically they lean heavily toward Socialism (think Kibbutz. As far as Israel's concerned, the vast majority of American Jews are not Zionists and do not agree with the political goals or methods.
Democrats solidly how the Jewish vote, without losing as much as 1/2 a percentage point.

Democrats have a Capo Liberal Jewish problem because they’re the only ones who remain clueless. They should reread the history of Nazi Germany and take note of what happens to those who turn a blind eye to evil. Orthodox Jews are conservative and they know the truth about the evil surrounding us all and, thus, don’t support RATs.

Just because words can be abused and perverted doesn't mean there aren't spiritual messages in them, even in English, the modern-day equivalent to Aramaic or Greek (i.e. the lingua franca of the gentile world, or at least the vast communications network known as the Internet).
I wouldn't be surprised if Mene Mene Tekel Upharsin was written out in the same way as those ubiquitous word posters, in which the first letter of each word is designed to spell out a word summarizing the primary concept/subject of the poster.
Maybe the king overlooked the obvious because he was expecting a "spiritual" message, not something basic like

Note that Daniel's interpretation wasn't actually a deciphering of the words, but a recap of the king's behavior. So there really wasn't anything to interpret (for those paying attention). The words were, like those message posters we see today, a summary or logical conclusion.
The king didn't understand the writing on the wall, because (to apply the modern idiom of same origin), he didn't see the "writing on the wall". Guess he thought he was above the simple rule of cause and effect.
Concerned citizens are "trained" by convention (aided by a good dose of secular mocking) to NOT see the obvious. The words "lawless" and "Obama" are used so often together that they have become synonymous, the use of "Obamanation" is a common word play, and yet...? These are NOT unspiritual coincidences with the Holy Writ.
Here we have this odious Obama character, who KNOWS what kind of country the Founders created, who KNOWS of the Godly character traits of these men, who KNOWS that his actions and beliefs are utterly contrary to the Founder's intent, and yet he stands arrogantly as America's "leader", desiring to pervert and destroy the Land and her People.
Obama nation of desolation is a most fitting description of the nation under his despotic rule.
