The US has said the shelling of a UN shelter in Gaza is "totally unacceptable and totally indefensible".
In its strongest criticism yet of Israel's offensive in the Palestinian territory, the US - Israel's closest ally - also said the civilian casualties were "too high".
It urged Israel to do more to protect civilian life.
Israel says its offensive in Gaza is designed to defend its population from attacks by Palestinian militants.
The UN has also criticised Israel over the worsening situation in Gaza, saying people there are "facing a precipice".

Since at least 116,000 civilians were killed in the US-Iraq War of 2003 before U.S. troops left, it would seem that they US has little to lecture Israel about. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/middleeast/iraq/9932214/Iraq-war-10-years-on-at-least-116000-civilians-killed.html Especially considering that: a) the US did not (to my knowledge) give any warning to Iraqi civilians that is in any way comparable to the warnings given to Palestinian civilians by the Israelis; and b) Iraq was not shooting thousands of rockets at U.S. civilians, and had no plans to murder and/or kidnap thousands of U.S. civilians (i.e. it was hardly a defensive war for the U.S.)
I generally give the benefit of the doubt to foreign policy/defense statements made by a U.S. President, but since nearly everything that comes out of Bathhouse Barry’s mouth is fecal in nature, it deserves to be closely examined and pilloried if, as is the case here, it is a bunch of self-serving, hypocritical crap.
To put not too fine a point on it, Fauxbama should STFU about Israel when he is holding them to a higher standard than he holds our country.

The aiding and abetting of Hamas by the UN is totally unacceptable.
I’m almost imagining some angry parents of children killed by Hamas/UN rockets, building a sinkable Katusha-type launcher, towing it up the East River, and giving the UN a taste of their own medicine. . .
That would not surprise me in the least. Seriesly.
The slaughter in Benghazi is totally unacceptable as well as the deaths throughout the VA. Then there’s the other issues perpetrated against the American people. People in glass houses and all that!!!
When I was on active duty the subject of war with Israel came up a few times. Most everyone said they would not fight Israel and would refuse to do so if ordered.
But there have been at least 3 or 4 others which have.
However, it hasn't been conclusively established that it was the Israelis who hit the shelter.
No matter. Even though the objective situation would seem to warrant caution and the avoidance of inflammatory statements - directed at an ally which is defending itself against non-stop attacks against its own civilians no less - that doesn't stop the mufti-in-chief from rushing to support the side which is purposefully directing its attacks against civilian targets.

There’s a whole office in the White Hut that keeps track of these things, so you’ll just have to accept that it’s “too high”. Speaking of “too high”, pot had helped, and booze; maybe a little blow when he could afford it.
The “too high” phrase is right in the pro-jihadist talking points, and apparently was first used by Ban Ki-Moon, the jihad-booster currently serving as Sec’y General of the Untied, oops, United Nations.
