Kansas Senate Race: Positive Conservative Solutions vs. 47 years in Washington and More of the Same
redstate.com ^ | 8/4/14 | Milton Wolf

Posted on 08/04/2014 9:00:58 AM PDT by cotton1706

Washington has lost its way — we all know it — and we will not change Washington until we change who we send to Washington. Tomorrow Kansans have an opportunity to do just that.

Too often, Republicans can offer little more than saying what they’re against, rather than what they stand for. This achieves little more than whining. We desperately need Republicans who can offer bold, positive, conservative solutions rather than just complaints. We desperately need new Republican leaders who can communicate why conservatism is not only effective, but also compassionate.

I am challenging Senator Pat Roberts in the Republican primary. After 47 years in Washington, Roberts cannot name any achievements worthy of re-election. Can you? He’s lost his way, voting for Barack Obama’s $600 billion tax hike, 11 debt ceiling increases and even for Kathleen Sebelius to run ObamaCare. Before I challenged him, before his breathtaking election-year conversion, Senator Roberts’ lackluster scorecards at Club For Growth and FreedomWorks were 55 and 54, respectively.

Pat Roberts is hiding from the issues that matter most to Kansans and all Americans. He has refused to debate me even after repeatedly and publicly promising voters he would, but there are serious policy differences between us. I offer positive conservative solutions while Pat Roberts offers more of the same.

TERM LIMITS

I support term limits and will lead by example, pledging to serve only two terms in the U.S. Senate. I will continue to practice medicine in Kansas (part time and as a volunteer) while I serve and practice

full-time when complete. Pat Roberts

Wolf is related to obama.

He is also related to Noah, what is your point?

Do you have any relatives that still support Obama? I would be surprised if you didn't.

Ever look into the background of Ronald Reagan's kids with Nancy, they hated his politics and probably Reagan himself.

Try his RINO predecessor Nancy Kassebaum, or her predecessor, the Socialist Republican James Pearson who voted identical to Ted Kennedy. THOSE are “Democrat Lights.”

When you compare evil to less evil sometimes the less evil looks quite good, so the comparison loses any meaning.

Roberts no more represents Kansas than I do.

Would you vote for a relative of Obama?

Would your relative vote for Obama, I bet some of them did, and they made a choice. Wolf did not get to pick his relatives, and neither did you.

What is Milton Wolf’s record by comparison ? What has he done to advance the Conservative cause ? I’ve cited demonstrable facts about Sen. Roberts. Wolf is a total mystery and unknown, much like his cousin Zero.

Did Pat Roberts pick his dad ? Another Wolf supporter here keeps attacking his dad over something that happened 60 years ago and trying to hang it around Roberts’ neck.

He probably mixes Muslim children's bones in his matzo balls.

Now that’s funny. But to the point, you no more know anything about him or his record than I do. Campaign promises aren’t worth squat without the record to support it. In short, talk is cheap. If Wolf had something to point to, he’d have a lot more traction. Instead, he’s just an empty suit campaigning as “I’m not Pat Roberts.”

>> Wolf did not get to pick his relatives, and neither did you. <<

No, but he did get to pick his campaign theme, and he built it around the fact he's related to Obama (as if that somehow qualifies him for a Senate seat)

I have a distance cousin who is a flaming homo, but I don't go around advertising that fact when I put out my resume, or refer to myself as "the flaming homo's conservative cousin". I don't even mention it all.

Wolf does, and makes it the reason to elect him.

Gotta wonder why Wolf LOVES to remind people that he's distantly related to the marxist failure. It seems Miltie and his "cousin" have more in common than we thought.

The vapid campaign tactics are similar, maybe it’s in the blood.

>> The whole point of his residency issue is that he left his native state of Kansas a long, long time ago. <<

And the whole point WHY the residency issue has failed to gain track for Wolf is the double standards from his detractors. 90% of the Tea Party people BASHING Roberts for leaving Kansas a long time ago were APPLAUDING Liz Cheney for doing so in Wyoming and then seeking a Senate seat there 30 years later when she lived in Virginia. So I guess it's only bad when Roberts does it.

People aren't buying the selective outrage.

I dare ya to post that on an anti-17th amendment thread. ;-)

Would you really vote for an inexperienced Member of the Obama family for your Senator?

Before I’d vote for Pat Roberts, Lindsey Graham, Mitch McConnell or Thad Cochran, I’d vote for a one-eyed crack whore.

Hope the American people win, and Roberts is not a win, he is a consummate DC insider that is way too old to be running again. Why don’t you try running some one from Kansas, like you know maybe Dole & Dole.

The Wolf campaign has gotten a whole lot of mileage out of the ad showing Roberts saying that he comes “home” to Kansas “Everytime I have an opponent..... That ol’ sucker is Virginia’s 3rd Senator. He has not been in KS since his kids were in Elementary School. I wish enough Jayhawks had the ba**s to send the old coot back to Virginia to stay.

Thanks for pointing that out. I was completely unaware that Liz Cheney was running for office in Kansas.

Wolf ain’t a win for the people, it’s a win for naivete.

BTW, I do hope you guys vote for Kris Kobach today in the Sec of State primary over the RINO turd. He’s arguably one of the best guys in politics in KS.

>> Thanks for pointing that out. <<

You're welcome. Perhaps if the Milton Wolf cheerleaders had been "outraged" a few months ago when Virginia resident Liz Cheney decided to run for Senator "from" Wyoming (a state she hadn't lived in since she was 12), their arguments against Roberts would now have crediblity.

But they were all for it back then, so sorry "Tea Party Express", "RedState.com", and Mark Levin, nobody is buying the argument that it's bad now.

P.S. The "Roberts voted for Selibus!!" attack is also failing for the same reason. Perhaps if the Wolf crowd hadn't cheered on Sam Brownback after he voted for Selibus, the argument might be effective now.
