A Nevada family reportedly is grappling with more than $1 million in medical bills, after the insurance they bought on the ObamaCare exchange refused to pay claims over a typo and other issues.
The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports that Kynell and Amber Smith are dealing with a six-month nightmare. It all started when Amber Smith in February delivered her daughter five weeks early.

I should add that it is all very good to recommend that we research our options before signing up for a plan. But nothing prepares you for an emergency — or somebody else’s typo.
Just change your name to “Maria Sanchez” and claim you are illegally in the country.
It's almost like the feral government is a bully.
I put my phone number into just one of the sites I looked at for an estimate.
I swear it's like having called Nigeria! I get calls from multiple numbers and I am still getting them.
Please whatever you do be careful! It seems that there is a lot of fraud out there. Find a local agent who's office you can go to and check them out as well!

Obamacare is nothing but a series of deliberately complex, illogical, often contradictory rulings capriciously applied. It’s going to get a whole lot worse than this.
In this case the dispute is with Blue Cross over an incorrectly entered DOB for the mother. BC is blaming Xerox who was the contractor who “built” the web based marketplace.
Xerox was fired in May for incompetence.
What a mess.
If the persons involved voted for DIMs/LIBs...what a laugh.

Exactly the same thing happened to me. This went on for 6 weeks.
It’s been a year. The volume has gone down but I still get odd calls. I just don’t answer them anymore. Caller ID is awesome.
