Pat Sajak is Offended by a Pro Sports Team Name and it’s Not the Redskins

TV game show host Pat Sajak of Wheel of Fortune fame weighed in on the Democrat Party’s obsession with the Washington “Redskins” team name suddently being racist after decades of not being offensive.

Thursday on Twitter, Sajak mocked the left’s faux outrage, perhaps even taking a stab at Democrat Senator Harry Reid, by tweeting that he was offended by the NHL team the Ottawa Senators.

Sajak wrote on his Twitter account, “A nation’s capital should not have a team with such an offensive nickname. Please NHL, no more Ottawa Senators.” On July 30, Sajak took a shot at Obama Secretary of State John Kerry: The man knows his baseball. The ’62 Mets finished with a win-loss record of 40-120.

In June, I asked if Harry Reid will tell this 100% Navajo Indian High School that their “Redskins” mascot is racist? We’re still waiting for the answer.

"I think the Washington Senators became the Minnesota Twins in 1961.

And, then, the second Washington Senators became the Texas Rangers in 1972.

Good examples of how offensive the name is. You have to leave town to regain respectability.

Sajak replaced Adrian Kronehour as a DJ with the Army radio station in Vietnam.
Kronehour was depicted in the movie, “Good Morning, Vietnam” starring Robin Williams...

Thanks. As a kid, I had a Washington Senators team baseball card and no one would ever trade me anything for it.

Was it Paul Casanova? I seemed to always get three or four of him every year.

Pat should have taken on the Washington Nationals. Sorry, George, but “Washington” is about the most offensive name going at the moment. And about 70 percent of Americans would get behind that crusade right quick.

No it was the whole team. I seemed to get one in every bubble gum baseball card pack I bought back then.

Interesting info:

Cronauer is a member of Mensa. He is also—contrary to Robin Williams' portrayal of him in Good Morning Vietnam—a "lifelong card-carrying Republican,"

You just wait, if the Left succeeds in banning “Redskins”, they will inevitably go after the “Washington” part, because George Washington was a slave owner.

Sajak’s absolutely correct - with this choice of name, the team implies they’re corrupt, dishonest, and degenerate.

No doubt they cheat every chance they get.

You do realize there are those that are already proposing to remove George Washington from the one dollar bill.

You cannot have our Redskins name taken, and then our Nationals. Presumably, the Capitals would be next, for obvious reasons, leaving us only with the Wizards and the United, unless you count the Mystics, which no non-lesbians do. The United probably has to go given that we are a hopelessly divided nation, unless it is a reference to the unity between the Democrats and the GOPe. Gone too are the Wizards (a name that, given the make up of the NBA, is somewhat, albeit unintentionally, hilarious).

I would, however, like to have a national referendum to rename all of the DC sports teams. I suspect that such a referendum would yield some revealing results.

Colts is a term that is associated with male dominance and superiority. That term will be changed to “Horses” or if the feminazis get their way “Geldings.”

No no no. You misunderstand me. "Redskins" isn't offensive, nor is "Nationals" or "Capitals." Washington is offensive. And the vast majority of Americans are right there with me.
