There needs to be an international mechanism to suspend the rules of war when one side in a conflict engages in verified “extraordinary inhumanity on the grand scale.”
In effect, freeing nations who have signed the Geneva Conventions to carry out military field punishment of such war criminals, respecting that an entire army cannot eventually be tried for such acts.
This would include not taking prisoners or accepting surrender, the use of normally prohibited weapons in proscribed roles, etc.
In this case, since IS has no defense against them, the US could use non-persistent nerve agent, cluster munitions, fuel air munitions, and many other forbidden weapons. IS would be annihilated within days.
How about some B-52’s out of Barksdale, the kind that sent the Republican Guard to hell!
Now just a cotton pickin’ minit here. Let’s be fair. All those protests against Israel are just to keep in practice for when they do this against IS. Both of them start with an I and an S, so that proves it. Soon as they’re all practiced up with Israel, they’re going to go after IS with a vengeance.
Just watch and see if they don’t.
