Incumbent Hawaii Governor Neil Abercrombie was soundly defeated in the state's Democratic primary, results showed on Sunday.

The loss by Abercrombie, who had been endorsed by Hawaii-born President Barack Obama, marked the first defeat for an incumbent Democratic governor in Hawaii since it was granted statehood in 1959, potentially re-arranging the political landscape before the U.S. general election in November.

Final results showed Abercrombie with 30.8 percent of the votes and the winner, state Senator David Ige, with 66.1 percent.

Are the democrat voters having their own tea party, taking down the established politicians? Maybe they are open to the truth.

The “Old Hippie” Democrats are doomed. Their slavish media and voter fraud are all they have left.

Should we care? One damned Democrat is no better than another. And Hawaii should sink back under the waves.

My middle son was born at Tripler Army hospital in Hawaii. Obama ruined Hawaii for me.

The majority in Hawaii rejected homo "marriage" (hard for FR Hawaii haters to accept, I know) at the ballot box, but Abercrappie slithered it through the 'rat legislature with a lot of slimey maneuvering that really ticked off the people.

There was a lot of grass root religious group efforts to get rid of him. His opponent also scored highly with 2nd Amendment supporters, which of course the smelly troll was dead set against.

******

He claims that he was, but the hospital listed on his "birth certificate" has remained conspicuously silent about the event.

Myself, I don't believe that Obama was born in the hospital listed on his "birth certificate", but Obama is too cowardly to allow the hospital to release his and his mother's records, because there are no such records.

Think about this: If Obama had run for senator or governor in Hawaii, his chances of winning would not have been very good, because of Hawaii's majority large Asian population, and they often vote for fellow Asians.

Agreed, hopefully every Democrat endorsed by Obama is trounced in this manner as the election should be a simple choice of do you agree with and support a candidate aligned with and facilitating Obama’s destruction of America or not. Simply love the short coattails or as John writes, Obama’s kiss of death.

BTW, I am in Hawaii since Friday, on the island of Oahu. Drove all around yesterday—road trip-style, visiting beaches and basically circled the islands. Lots of folks out near the schools waving and encouraging people to vote for their respective candidates. At least on Oahu, there were zero weather-related hinderances to voting.

a spit in the face of Obama. he was over here to help Abercrombie a few months ago and Abie got his ass kicked bad. First time in Hawaii’s history a governor only lasted for one term. The left wing , Liberal , hippy bites the dust. 30% , his opponent got 66%. Eat it Obama.
