Bush had manège rial skills and an Ivy League MBA to go with it

He started this, he defied the constitution in a big way

The problem is that these people defy the job description as profiled by the framers

Manège rial skills are for businesses the country is not a business. When Romney campaigned he lost 47% who rightly don’t see the country as a corporation they wrongly see it as a nanny state which it is not and is failing as it tries to be

And that’s just the take its. Conservatives see a Romney as moving in and in the what the RNC calls spirit of compromise, push through all kinds of legislation that brings the country further into moral chaos which is the root of the problem

Anybody with a brain and free from ideological shackles could see with specificity the train wreak that is Obamaa.

The same holds true for being able to "see with specificity the train wreck that is" Romney. Both are train wrecks and I refuse to vote for a train wreck.

Romney was a better choice than Obummer. Clearly.

Though I don’t like Romney it is not clear to me if we survive Obama to fix what he has wrought.

All those that refused to vote for Romney are complicit.

Romney was on every side of all issues. He’s more like a stopped clock than a knowledgeable leader. As for reducing illegal aliens, I doubt he’s talking about self-deport now. He wasn’t for it at all during 2012 presidential election in Florida. Etch-a-sketch and all you know.

There is HUGE Romney push from the RINO wing.

There is and it's growing. They are in a panic that an actual conservative may be able to ride into the WH the anti-Obama wave that's building.

Centurion whines: You have clearly convinced yourself that Obama is a better option than Romney. I hope that you are pleased with the situation that we are in.

Would YOU be pleased with the situation we were in if Romney had won and a Republican administration was in the midst of advancing:

--nationalized health care with on-demand subsidized abortion
-- gay marriage and forcing Americans to formally recognize all "marriages" between homosexuals as equal in legitimacy to true marriage between man and woman
-- gun control
-- carbon-cap "global warming" seizure of food and energy production and consumption

Centurion, THAT is what would be happening right now if Romney had won; Obama would be long forgotten. Would YOU be "pleased with the situation"? Would you be here taking responsibility for what you voted for? OF COURSE NOT! You are only willing to take responsibility for voting "against."

Catherine and I and (thank God) enough fellow freedom-loving Americans, understand that we are responsible ONLY for what we vote FOR, thus Romney lost. It let the likes of you off the hook. Otherwise, instead of being here on FR as you are now whining that Obama won, you would be here on FR whining that you didn't vote for all of the leftist government tyranny Romney has always and will always promote, you only voted "against" Obama, waaa waaaa waaaahhh!!! You'd be a whining victim either way.

That should tell you something loud and clear.

Wrong. Romney was a different choice that Obummer. Clearly.

All those that refused to vote for Romney are complicit.

Absolutely one hundred percent WRONG, and stupidly wrong at that.

YOU voted to turn the Republican party and America hard left. While I understand that you intended to vote "against" Obama, I also understand, as wholly as you FAIL to understand, that the only thing you did was to vote for turning the nation and the GOP hard left. You were and are complicit in making liberalism in both parties STRONGER. You were and are complicit in surrendering to government tyranny and leftism.

Take responsibility for what you voted FOR and accept the reality that voting "against" is entirely imaginary.

What segment of America does Mitt Romney represent? Who actually can relate to him, or better yet, who does he related to?

IMO, Mitt Romney best represents the interests of Wall Street. The Wall Street types are only interested in maintaining their entrenched status. I still don't see why these people wouldn't have pushed Romney hard to get elected. They would love to have one of their own in the White House.

Other than the Mormon bloc and Wall Street types, Romney does not really have a natural constituency. At least, not in the Republican Party. Social conservatives don't trust him based on his previous support of abortion and the gay agenda (despite his convenient conversions on the issues). Economic conservatives are leery of Romney because of his big-government solutions to almost all societal problems. Capitalists should be concerned about his for the same reason. Big-government solutions to economic problems almost always favor big-business interests. The interests of the entrenched business and capitalism often diverge. IMO, Romney is far to the left of the Republican agenda but only a little to the right of the Democrat agenda.

Bush had manège rial skills and an Ivy League MBA to go with it

On paper. No real record of success. And he wanted to make government bigger with increased spending and initiatives like the prescription drug program that added $7.3 trillion to our long term unfunded liabilities. We also had wars that weren't paid for. Bush was not about making government run more efficiently or being smaller.

Manège rial skills are for businesses the country is not a business. When Romney campaigned he lost 47% who rightly don’t see the country as a corporation they wrongly see it as a nanny state which it is not and is failing as it tries to be.

As someone who spent 36 years working in the federal government, the problem is that government is not being run like a business. Yes, there have been attempts to reward cost reductions and efficiency and introduce business concepts, but the bureaucracy has effectively thwarted any such efforts along with a Congress that really doesn't want to reduce the size and scope of government.

Conservatives see a Romney as moving in and in the what the RNC calls spirit of compromise, push through all kinds of legislation that brings the country further into moral chaos which is the root of the problem

The root of the problem is that Americans want all the benefits a European-style welfare state has to offer, but they don't want to pay European level taxation to pay for it. Hence, we run up these huge debts and borrow from future generations to pay for it. We are living way beyond our means. The longer we delay getting our fiscal house in order, the more painful and draconian the solutions will be. Turn out the lights, the party is over.

The last election was clearly stolen.

And it is only going to get worse in the future. The IRS scandal is only the tip of the iceberg of how the dems have infiltrated and manipulate the supposed impartial government agencies to their benefit. What has the GOP-e done in response, absolutely nothing.
