President Vladimir Putin said on Monday that Russia is sending an aid convoy to eastern Ukraine despite urgent Western warnings against using humanitarian help as a pretext for an invasion.

With Ukraine reporting Russia has massed 45,000 troops on its border, NATO said there was a "high probability" that Moscow could intervene militarily in the country's east, where Kiev forces are closing in on pro-Russian separatists.

Read a report that the food and water drop in Iraq onto the mountain was rendered useless for consumption due to hard landings. Do not know this to be accurate or inaccurate but bet russian leadership got a good laugh and perhaps putin said let's put on a show for the zer0 and his clown posse. Can't find anything good to say about either of these two (zer0 and putin). Both are nothing but Trouble (with a big 'T')

Under the Red Cross...

In the story I posted:

They note that Obama called Poroshenko directly, after which Poro said they would let it through.

Easy to imply from that that Poro was TOLD to let it through.

I have visions of Wesley Clark phoning someone to stop the Russians before they get there.

More insults, and nothing to add to the discussion.

This doesn’t meet with your Kiev-approved Current Truth?

Trust me, nobody needs to tell the Ukrainians to kill the Russkie scum invading their country. They already know what to do.

You're a dufus who doesn't even know what he's talking about. The Ukrainians agreed to the humanitarian aid provided it went through Ukrainian controlled border entries, was done with international organizations, and consisted of no Russkie military aid.

Thus you're whole "Ukraine is being TOLD what to do by my God and master Putin" is just stupid, just like you.

lol....
Now you are just trolling.

Explain this, then:

The Kremlin earlier announced that it was dispatching the humanitarian convoy into eastern Ukraine.

Ukraine had previously objected to Russia sending any aid into the region, and the West had strongly warned Russia that any attempt to send its military personnel into Ukraine under the guise of humanitarian assistance would be seen as an invasion.

In the last week, Ukrainian government forces have been closing in on the few remaining pro-Russian rebel strongholds in eastern Ukraine, including surrounding Donetsk, the largest city in rebel-held city. Hundreds of thousands have been fleeing the fighting.

Shortly after the Kremlin statement, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko got on a phone call with President Barack Obama, according to their offices.

In all fairness, he meant Obama telling Poroshenko, not Putin. Otherwise, I agree with your assessment. The plot is for Russians to get “legal” access to rebel-held land across the border for continuing supply of murderers and weapons. Civilians be damned - Russians never cared even for their own.

Explain this, then:

Explain what, exactly? I do not even know what you are attempting to claim. It is solely within the confines of your twisted Putinist head.

As usual, Putin uses half-truths to push the lie. The original idea was for internationally led aid, with Russia as but one component of it, to enter Ukraine and provide actual humanitarian aid to the population that has been tormented by Russian terrorists. This included the involvement of the Red Cross. Russia has now changed the deal, as they are wont to do, and claim that the deal was always that they would alone send an aid convoy at that the Red Cross was o.k. with this. That is entirely false.

Russia will now use the pretext of aid to send in the several hundred armored “peace keeper” vehicles and several thousand “peace keeping” troops they have stage at Ukraine’s border. No party, other than Russia, is on board with this idea, since it is quite obviously an invasion force that will do nothing but bring more misery to Ukraine. See Georgia, August 2008.

I really do not see how anyone can say with a straight face that Russia is not seeking to invade Ukraine at this point.
