This as Attorney General Eric Holder announced he was ordering Federal "monitoring" of the events in Ferguson. This is to ensure the rioters rights are upheld and protected.

What are we supposed call tanks now, if the media is going to switch to calling armored cars “tanks”?
I haven’t seen a photo of them yet, but surely there are no tanks being brought in.

I am not going to defend the police officer who killed this young man
I am outraged that people think that burning down stores and looting is the answer. That is right out of the weather underground and students for a democratic society (that is to say Cloward and Piven).

In this case they appear to be former military war vehicles or MRAPs. Lots of them have been recently acquired by civilian law enforcement in the U.S.
