Tiffany Mitchell On Witnessing Michael Brown Shooting: Police 'Showed No Kind Of Remorse'
The Huffington Post ^ | August 14, 2014 | Paige Lavender

Tiffany Mitchell, a woman who says she witnessed a police officer shoot and kill Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri, shared her story during an appearance on CNN with her attorney Wednesday night.

Mitchell said she was driving when she saw Brown trying to pull away from an officer as the two were "tussling through a window."

She said she had hoped to get a video because the incident "just didn't look right," but failed to get her camera out in time.

"I didn't know exactly what was going on, but I knew it didn't look right for someone to be wrestling with the police through the police window, but I didn't get a video because a shot was fired through the window, so I tried to get out of the way," Mitchell said.

Mitchell then described what she saw happen between Brown and the police officer.

"As I pull onto the side, the kid, he finally gets away, he starts running. As he runs the police get out of his vehicle and he follows behind him, shooting," Mitchell said.

"And the kid's body jerked as if he was hit from behind, and he turns around and puts his hands up like this, and the cop continued to fire until he just dropped down to the ground and his face just smacks the concrete."

Mitchell clarified she heard a shot after she saw Brown trying to pull away from the cop, and said even after Brown turned to face the cop and put his hands in the air, "the cop continued to come up on him and shoot him until he fell down to the ground."

She said she counted "more than about five or six shots."

What is your definition of unbiased info?

I do find it hilarious that 4 days after the killing the Chief goes on CNN to tell them that his officer had “injuries” as if to imply that they must be evidence that there had to have been a fight for the gun.

And yet the only injuries turned out to be nothing more than swelling to the side of his face.

If by that the Chief is implying that he was punched there then he had better have done a DNA swab test on every square inch of that swollen side because there are a whole lot of ways to get a swollen face and that includes your police buddies slapping you a few times there for good measure.

My bet is that the Chief’s days in Ferguson are numbered and he is putting his CV together, as a whole lot of others in that department had better do.

Prima facie evidence, facts, data, etc...not subject to interpretation

In other words a videotape as opposed to a witness statement

Don’t think for a second that I will side with a white officer just because I am white. Wrong is wrong and right is right. If the kid was running away from him and he shot him that’s murder and he should be prosecuted.

Pretty sure the statement of the police chief that the victim has no criminal record falls within that definition of prima facie.

He could still say that if he had a sealed juvi record. Standing in the street and blocking a police cruiser and not moving out of the way says something in itself. Most law abiding / sober citizens don’t do that.

Dead people don’t have sealed records. There is no privacy right after death.

I thought you said said that you were going to wait until more evidence surfaces???

Did you get impatient??

Are you making your own evidence up now???

This makes me sick and it should not have happened. Who did what to who, to jack it up to what happened, hopefully we will find out soon. No one shoots (or should shoot) a guy that punched a cop, or slammed a car door shut. I hope it will be sorted out and the Truth found. Certainly not shoot a guy complying and had his back to the officer. Not under those circumstances.

Thanks, I can’t watch the part of him laying there dead. They at least, I don’t care how many shots he had in him, taken him immediately to the hospital.

Who has verified 8 shell casings?

The police put markings by them on the ground.

Some are saying that there were as many as 12 shell casings on the ground.

I have some questions re that video:

Why did the police officer stop his uncle from looking at the body????

He could identify him and didn’t the police care to have the body identified???

Isn’t that part of their duty — to have it identified quickly???

It seems to me that they knew they had a bad shoot from the start especially if one of the shots was to the face and they needed time to work on their story.

Song lyrics. I was simply quoting song lyrics. Folsom Prison Blues by Johnny Cash. Look, I’m 73 years old and I still have a sense of humor. Simple as that. I really have no point in the discussion. There was a time on FR when the responses would have been much more humorous and light. Alas, we have changed.

And what if the reports are true that he was shot while lying on the ground?

I was totally unfamiliar with that song and those lyrics.Because of my inability to recognize your post as humorous I thought you were making a serious point but I wasn't sure *what* point. And that's the reason for my response.Chalk it up to my ignorance of that particular song.
