Don’t waste your time trying to fight IS on the battlefield. For all intents and purposes, they have unlimited bodies to throw into the fray and they are not sensitive to casualties. They just need to be contained.
We need to make war on their logistics. We need to stop the flow of the money and the supply of weapons, ammunition, fuel, etc. The people funding and supplying them need to die. Don’t arrest them. Find them, kill them, and destroy their assets.

No, they were surrendering to apache attack helicopters. Drones weren’t deployed yet.

Obama indeed ended the Iraq war. This now is a war with ISIS, a monster brought to life by Bush's war on Iraq which spawned hatred for the US. Bush's father knew how to fight wars in this area.
Here’s my dream: Scientists find and manufacture a powder, that when crop-dusted on people will put them to sleep for 24 hours minimum (without side effects). Allows soldiers to go in and grab the monsters. Put the monsters on a cargo plane, remove their clothing, coat them in pig lard and either drop them from 10,000 ft into the ocean (fish food) or put them in the middle of the desert where they will turn into cripsy bacon...
