One can understand that it might be hard to breathe with six cops piled on you, but the fact that you are obese can make it to where you have a stroke from exerting all that energy.

Were they actually ‘choking’ him? I don’t know for sure.
Were they hoping to just get him unconscious ? Probably.

Were they intentionally trying to kill him? I doubt it.

Are they being treated as if that is what they wanted? Yes.

As can be seen from this second photo

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3193194/posts?page=197#197

Brown’s body is near the periphery of the crime scene, which would seem to indicate the cop was standing further down the slight incline of the street from Brown when he shot him.

In other words, to the right of his body in that picture from 197. (It wouldn’t make sense, in other words, to not tape off the part where the cop was too. That also would be part of the crime scene)

And so as I pointed out in post 151, since his head is pointed in the direction of the blood trail, which is running downhill, he seems to have been shot (fatally) as he was approaching the cop again.

Now it’s not entirely clear from the photos where the cop was when he shot Brown. But if he was indeed further down the slight hill than Brown, this is conclusive evidence Brown was facing him when he was shot fatally.

Which would seem to indicate Brown did something threatening to justify the shooting (unless we are seriously entertaining the possibility the cop just shot him while he stood there motionless with his hands in the air. I’m sorry, that’s too “Alex Jones” for me).

Bottom line: because of that blood trail’s direction, and the position of Brown’s body, where the cop was standing will answer conclusively if he was shot in the back or shot as he was approaching the cop. So this is a detail we all need to keep an eye (ear) open for.

So... all you are really saying is that YOU don’t like it, but that it is the reality of the situation.

The rules for citizens vs. the rules for armed and trained Law enforcement officers is ‘different’.

Gee, imagine that.

I believe the ‘rules’ for Military personnel are different than for a normal citizen, as well. They can shoot at the enemy no matter how far away they are.

Does that ‘difference’ bother you as well ?

Yeh — they had him in an illegal choke hold that was outlawed 20 years ago —

And there were police on top of him constraining his diaphragm which is essential to breathing.

Thanks for the link. It didn’t clear anything up, as the story told by the witness isn’t corroborated by the evidence.

What color is the officer? I have seen three hours of speculation. What is the truth? Anyone have firm info?

Has it been established that he was shot 30 feet away?

Pics from the scene do not show Brown's body near the squad car. Initial reports were multiple shots were fired at Brown as he was running away.

Releasing the cop's dash cam footage and audio from both inside the dash cam and on the officer's mic would go a long way to establishing facts as to whether the cop was justified in killing the perp.

I’m not sure smaller police forces have tasers. Your question is an interesting one don’t get me wrong.

Even if they did have tasers, what probably happened in this case even before the disputed facts was the cop got his gun back from Brown after the struggle.

So he had it in his hand. I doubt any kind of training would teach an officer to reholster an already drawn weapon in favor of a taser in the midst of an arrest attempt.

Even if so, could you imagine yourself after fighting off a 300 lb guy for your gun, putting that gun back in your holster and getting out a taser?

Yeah, Last night someone posted a list of charges of a different Mike Brown. It didn’t take long for Freepers to figure that out. (not all Freepers. Just a few key ones, as usual)

I wanted to Thank You again for the link to the DM article. It provided the most detailed and accurate description of the incident I have read so far.

Still, most of the public, and many Freepers will never see it or read it.

I have found that Freepers who have the luxury of being able to spend time at the computer (on FR and other internet sources) usually end up being very well informed.

Those who only have a limited period (like after dinner and before bedtime) usually depend on TV and water cooler discussions to form their opinions. Which they then defend to the death, regardless to being supplied facts during the ‘debate’ on the thread.

One law for us - a different set of "laws' for the state and their agents?

Why, yes. They can carry a handgun completely in the OPEN. That is the law. They can have a shotgun mounted in their car.

You cannot.

This is reality.

So, if it took six cops to hold him down, and a chokehold , what are you suggesting they should have done instead ?

So... all you are really saying is that YOU don’t like it, but that it is the reality of the situation.

No. I don't like living in a police state.

I do not like agents of the state being exempt from laws that govern the rest of us. That is not a civil society - that is a tyranny, however comfortable you are with it.

The rules for citizens vs. the rules for armed and trained Law enforcement officers is ‘different’.

Right. Which is why they can shoot and kill your dog if it is barking at them from inside a fenced yard. Applause applause. I believe the ‘rules’ for Military personnel are different than for a normal citizen, as well. They can shoot at the enemy no matter how far away they are.

We're not TALKING about a combat zone on a battlefield here - we're talking about an American Street!!!

Should cops operate on a combat premise that American citizens are 'enemy combatants' that can be shot on sight no matter how far away they are???? I guess this people really will applaud a militarized Police State.

And one day - it will be used against you - and you will have enabled it to be so.

The information I received is that the Ferguson Police Department had purchased dashcams, but they had not been installed in the police cars yet.

The Ethics Committee has issued a news release that their Darren Wilson is NOT the Darren Wilson involved in the shooting.

Or have we already moved to the point that govern police states and not civil society?

According to the actions of the President of the US, yes.

Right, so let’s put tanks, APCs, MRAPS on America’s streets and have cops sight in mounted weapons on American citizens.

Applause applause.

We will have no excuse to bitch and moan when the day comes when Obama’s civilian security force, just as strong, just as powerful, just as well funded as the U.S military - is used against you at the behest of the regime.

You folks have no idea what you are empowering to be used against you in the near future.

We will certainly deserve everything that comes as a result of it.

If someone broke into my house, and struggled with me to take one of my weapons and after I fired off a round, the perp ran outside - and if II shot him 4-6 times as he was 35 feet from my door running away…. I would be charged with murder (or at minimum manslaughter).

You are assuming that is what actually happened. Since the source may have been his accomplice in the robbery playing witness, it is highly suspect. Let's wait on the facts.
