They probably have some red tape to go through before they can release certain things. Also, the owner’s store was destroyed, that may have factored into it in some way.

Yes but Brown knew he was a suspect at the time and this likely caused him to act in an aggressive manner towards the policeman.
No doubt that the dead guy in the street is the same guy in the surveillance video. The shoes are identical.
Yet, picture of the body in the street show no signs of gun-shot wounds to the back.
