Rick Perry thought her to be a disgrace, and wanted her to resign. She didn’t. So he took the next step and threatened to veto funding for her office. In response, a grand jury handed down an abuse of power indictment for coercive use of a veto late this afternoon. So the woman who was belligerent and intoxicated stays, Rick Perry is the bad guy and needs to go. Right. Got it.
Update: In case you want to give Lehmberg the benefit of the doubt, here is what her blood alcohol level was at the time of her arrest and booking, according to her attorney, David Sheppard.
District Attorney Rosemary Lehmberg has pleaded guilty to driving while intoxicated, was sentenced to 45 days in jail and immediately taken into custody.
Lehmberg’s blood alcohol level registered at 0.23 when she was arrested April 13, her attorney David Sheppard said.

Even if she weren’t this bad, Perry acted lawfully, and the indictment is political and a disgrace.

Perry didn’t “threaten,” he used his constitutional line item veto authority to zero out the budget for the Travis County’s Public Integrity section, previously headed by the lesbian ‘RAT cockroach DA, and used for decades to conduct political prosecutions of Republicans. Lehmberg is shameless, entitled, vicious, and unfit for public service. However, she has been embedded in the DA’s office in various capacities since 1976.
The fact that Axelrod, an Obama mouthpiece who doesn’t utter a word without Valerie Jarrett’s approval, said the indictment was ‘sketchy,’ leads me to believe Hillary Clinton’s hoof prints are on this. It’s typical Clinton scorched-earth strategy as their political machine rolls toward 2016.

Sorry but I’ve already passed judgment on Rick Perry. He didn’t do anything wrong and this whole indictment is absolutely ridiculous.
The Democrats will regret sending Rosemary Lehmberg out to do their dirty work. The Youtube videos and pictures tell a disturbing story about a very nasty lesbian DA (drunken attorney).
Even the mainstream media can’t spin this fast enough to make it look reasonable or just. Hopefully, the right wing pundits will link this story to the endless “John Doe” investigation of Scott Walker in Wisconsin.

Perry is going to come out smelling like a rose when all this is said and done and Rosemary is going to be known for the drunken scumbag that she is.
Why didn’t they make her blow into a breathalyzer?
Nothing like smearing a good man because he doesn’t think that criminal low-life scum should be prosecuting those she is supposed to serve. I know many here detest Perry for perceptions about his view on illegals, but I like the guy.
Law enforcement got her BAC by some means. It was .23, almost 3x the legal limit.
I am with Perry on this one but if we are going to use over-drinking as a barometer for public officials, how many do you think will be left? Not to mention those that have abused drugs.
Very few critics of politics would survive that barometer, either. Same goes for those of us who post here.
