The indictment of Texas Gov. Rick Perry on two felony counts of abusing his power "potentially was the stupidest thing I´ve seen, I think, in my entire career," MSNBC political analyst Mark Halperin told MSNBC´s "Morning Joe" on Monday. "I hope some judge throws it out right away. "It´s not just kind of funny and ridiculous. But it´s an infringement on individual liberty. He´s got a first amendment right -- just because he´s the governor of Texas. And I think, like I said, it´s easy to joke about this, but this is a serious thing. It is ridiculous that he was indicted for this," Halperin said.

Yea, ridiculous about sums it up.

It has to be quite deflating to Texas dems to see that they have zero national support.

They may have very well fired the old Aggie revolver at Perry.

This guy was around in November of 2008 and 2012, right?

It will be Haman on his scaffold for dims.

As more people learn what really happened:

1. drunk DA is arrested, threatens the careers of the officers (all on tape)
2. She runs the Texas office of PUBLIC INTEGERITY of all things
3. After which Perry insist that she step down having lost the moral authority to be the DA much less run the Office of Integrity.

I think the VAST majority of Americans agree with Perry in this case. Perry will be seen as being on the side of real justice, of attacking a hypocritical DA that flaunted the law.

Leaves a question....
What democrat party politics of intimidation does Mark Halperin accept?..

Or is he willfully blind?... Or does he have corruption limits?..
Or does he turn his head from a plethora of Obama treasonous activities?..

Is Mark Halperin a moral coward?..

It would be nice if this was the beginning of the dam breaking and the principled Dims began to break ranks and question all the crazy stuff going on without a peep from the other side.

Not securing the border
Obamacare
Climate change
etc

Sniper fire from a deranged anarchist. Travis County district attorney Rosemary Lehmberg would not know what “ethics” were if it came up to her on the street and mugged her.

This has become the new strategy for subverting and quelling any Republican initiatives for bringing better government to the state and national levels - first attempting to stymie the legitimate use of political power, then calling for criminalization of simply BEING a Republican, and most especially a conservative Republican.

No effective dialogue is possible with this mindset, as they are determined to delegitimize opposition altogether. It is as if there were no position on ANYTHING, if it in any way disagrees with the “official line”. Not simply “My way or the highway”, they destroy any possibility that a highway could even exist.

Anthills are such unattractive places to take up residence.

The entire democrat party is ridiculous and has become an international laughingstock. Only the LIVs don’t know it.

Halperin and those like him have been nurturing this left wing fascism for decades. Screw him.

The biggest mistake Perry made, was keeping his promise. He told the fat, ugly drunk lesbian DA he would take away the funding from her “pubic integrity unit” (misspelled intentionally) and stuck to his guns.

Yes since the face of the Dems in this fiasco is a fat unattractive lush strapped to a rolling chair with a spit mask over her face. Not a winning combination.

WOW, this has really blown up in their faces. I haven’t seen one single credible person saying: yeah he broke the law, good for indicting him.

I mean, that tweet by Axelrod, I don’t even know if he’s a lawyer, and the piece by Chait in New York Mag (full disclosure, I posted it here the other day), who states that he’s not a lawyer, but you don’t need to be one to see how stupid this is.

And now EVERYONE knows that DA is a belligerent drunk, and I (and millions of others) had never ever heard about that before.

Perry could go to prison up to 99 years. Now we know the charges are false. What about charging that convicted drunk and put her behind bars for years.

How long will it be until the progressives tell us the only reason Perry, and by extension, were only out to be DA Lehmberg because of our homophobia?

Because Lehmberg is a loud and proud lesbian according to this LGBT rag.

What if a majority of both houses of the legislature let it be known they would not fund the public “integrity” office unless Lehmberg resigned? Would she or her special prosecutor indict all of them?
