Star Witness In Michael Brown Shooting Charged With Theft, Filing False Police Report
Independent Journal Review ^ | August 21, 2014 | Larry O'Connor

Posted on 08/21/2014 10:50:40 AM PDT by 2ndDivisionVet

Dorian Johnson, the primary witness to the shooting of Michael Brown in Ferguson, has an outstanding warrant for a 2011 theft in Jefferson City and pleaded guilty for filing a false police report related to that theft.

St. Louis ABC affiliate ABC 17 cross referenced Johnson’s name against several records and discovered the warrant.

Johnson will be the star witness for any potential prosecution proceedings against Officer Darren Wilson for the shooting of Brown. Johnson was walking with Brown when the shooting occurred.

He has already done multiple media appearances where he falsely claimed Brown was shot by Wilson in the back. He also has claimed that Brown never reached for Wilson’s gun, was “shot like an animal” and that Brown had his hands up and told Wilson he was unarmed.

Johnson’s claims helped inspire the protests and riots in Ferguson over the past 10 days, as well as the “Hands up, don’t shoot” rallying cry of the protesters and their supporters.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch has details about the 2011 charges against Johnson:

During the summer after his first semester at Lincoln, Johnson was charged with a misdemeanor after giving police a false first name after he was arrested on suspicion of theft. He later pleaded guilty.

He was accused of stealing a package containing a backpack belonging to someone else from an apartment complex. When he was arrested in that case, he identified himself as Derrick Johnson and said he was 16.

He is wanted for failing to appear in Jefferson City municipal court to answer to the theft charge, court officials said.

According to the Post-Dispatch, the president of the local chapter of the NAACP knew about the charges against Johnson, but the fact that he was guilty of lying to the police didn’t matter:

Adolphus Pruitt, president of the St. Louis NAACP chapter, which has been encouraging witnesses to come forward, said Johnson’s false report case “doesn’t concern me.”

“He’s been very clear about what occurred, and now we have … four others stating facts that support the statements he’s been making,” Pruitt said. “Why would that diminish other accounts that are relatively the same?”

Whether or not Johnson committed the crime, lied to police, or is proven false on his account of how Brown was shot by Wilson, finding out what actually happened in the Ferguson shooting will require more evidence and multiple eye-witness accounts. It is important for neither the mainstream media nor armchair pundits to act like they definitively know what happened in this tragic event.

City of Ferguson and business should sue CNN and other network for huge financial damages for reporting lies and instigating riots. Wilson should sue for damages due to defamation of character. Any police injured in the riots should sue the networks for the same reasons.

TV networks are about the most powerful entity in this country. (even though we like to say they are fading away, they still have HUGE influence , unfortunately.

They get away with anything. A lot of the damage done by the progressives in this country depends on the media lying, defaming, intimidating, on and on. The 5th column in this country needs to be defeated big time.

PING.

Thought you might like to see verification of what we and others claimed was true.

Many here thought he should be charged for filing a false police report, and they are now vindicated.

The autopsy was performed by a doctor. He was the former chief medical examiner for NYC.

Shawn Purcells performed the autopsy. The 'doctor' you speak of only 'supervised'.

Remember SHIPING BAO ? The 'dr.' that did the autopsy in the Trayvon Martin case?

Turned out he didn't actually DO the autopsy, he 'supervised'. I.E. He went in the back and took a nap.

I'm not saying this DR. took a nap. I'm saying he signed off on the autopsy performed by Shawn Purcells.

So............................. since the blood was removed and replaced with embalming fluid, no toxicology tests would be valid, ergo none would have even been conducted.

Right ?

This highlights once again the reason why "eye witness" accounts are rightfully considered weak and unreliable evidence. An eye witness can say anything and often does, with little relatedness to reality.

•Claims of Brown having a prior juvenile record including violence, theft, and even 2nd degree murder.

Where did that come from?

Baden used to be a sharp guy. His books on forensics are great references on the subject. But the last few times I’ve seen him talk he seems to have lost his edge, saying and writing things that are closer to gobbledygook than anything else. Almost like he’s in some sort of hurry to get the bleep someplace else. His autopsy sketch is loosy-goosey and incomplete as hell. Everybody doing bullet hit analysis knows you have to also show the bullet direction of travel and he neglected that entirely. And By the Way: A hit in the eye from the front is every bit as deadly as a hit in the Baby Browny’s skull soft spot.

Thanks for all the info. That first link, links to a KKK site. Not sure how much I’d trust that.

It appears the second degree murder allegations are just that (allegations) at this point. From what I can tell, it is Charles Johnson who claims he has a couple of police sources who have told him that. Now, it wouldn’t surprise me that Michael Brown did commit such a crime, but so far it’s not known.

Regarding your last link, that makes sense. Holder is a menace to the truth. He is the worst Attorney General I can remember. It is unbelievable how anti-white he is.

Here’s a FR thread discussing it as well.

Did Michael Brown have a juvenile arrest record involving second degree murder?

IS IT TRUE? I don’t think anyone has any proof, yet.

Thanks for the links. Since this alleged incident occurred as a juvenile, what are the odds it will EVER be made public? They are sealed forever, right?

I don’t know. I would think that they could unseal it if it was a crime of deception or violence.

In any event, the robbery video conclusively seals the character of Michael Brown as being a thief and willing to get physical.

If it’s true they have 10 to 12 witnesses backing the police version, the officer walks. And given the autopsy refuting Dorian’s claims, I don’t see that as likely.

Even if they don’t the family’s star witness Dorian has a record of filing a false police report and has already been shown falsely claiming Brown was shot in the back. I don’t see how a jury could not have at least a reasonable doubt that the officer was in the right. So the officer walks.

The only way I don’t see the officer walking is if a video surfaces showing Dorian’s version.

Here are the rules regarding juvenile records for the state of Missouri. Think Before You Plead: Juvenile Collateral Consequences in the United States

Here's one snippet that makes me think he wasn't convicted of second degree murder:

......"Juveniles accused of committing a crime and subsequently found guilty are considered adjudicated delinquent (adjudicated) rather than convicted guilty (convicted).[6] With a relatively few exceptions, the juvenile courts have exclusive original jurisdiction over children under seventeen who are charged with acts that would be crimes if committed by an adult."...........

.........."Public: Juvenile records are not open to public inspection, except by a court order allowing a person with a “legitimate interest” to view the records.[28]However, if a child is adjudicated for an offense which would be a felony if committed by an adult, the records of the dispositional hearing and proceedings related will be open to the public to the same extent as adult criminal proceedings.[29]However, the social summaries, investigations, and status reports submitted to the court by any treating agency after the dispositional hearing are kept confidential and open to inspection only with approval of a juvenile court judge.[30]Additionally, peace officers’ records on a juvenile are treated as adult records if the delinquent is seventeen years or older.".................

Good point. So based on that the record would be public information. And since nobody credible has stepped forward with the record, it’s unlikely to have happened.

That’s what I’m assuming. Of course, nothing says he wasn’t accused of something like second degree murder, but not convicted (or adjudicated).
